Yes, there will be much more than hard feelings if Amal doesn't vote for our candidates. We stick to our commitments toward our allies and we expect our allies to stick to their commitments toward us. If they don't, then a sudden and very clean divorce.

Our commitment toward Amal is very clear: allied in the parliamentary elections in all districts except Jezzine. And that's Amal's declared commitment toward FPM too.
As for the election of the Speaker, Amal didn't ask FPM for a commitment and FPM is not ready to commit... we don't give blank checks. Along with the election of the speaker, come many more important other elections and appointments. Those will be discussed as a basket among the opposition parties and there will be commitments expected in return for other commitments.
As I said: no blank check to anyone. We won't allow the circus of the appointments of the judiciary to be repeated. How come Berri didn't commit to FPM during those appointments?

Oh yes, I agree on that. When Berri implements this rule, min riddello el-jmeel jmeelayn.
Berri took alright... but did he give during the presidential election crisis? Did he give during the appointments of the judiciary? Did he give during voting on the electoral law reforms?
I am not blaming him for not giving... that's his prerogative. I am blaming those who expect us to pre-commit to someone who already showed us that he doesn't commit except on very specific things and very short periods of time. Do you think we are stupid?
We will discuss the after-election commitments after the elections. Everyone already knows our commitment for the elections.
