And when you do, we will be able to compare between the 2 instances, and we can reach a conclusion on what affected the change of decision. | First proposal by Hariri given to Slieman:
Public Works; Education; Culture; Labor
-----------
Then these are the recent proposals:
Telecom; Tourism; Displaced; Culture
Telecom; Energy; Culture; Tourism
And last offer rejected few days ago:
Telecom (without Bassil), Tourism; Displaced; Culture
And recent compromise accepted by Aoun:
Telecom; Energy; Industry; Tourism

Thats all I could find.... | and the first proposal was the best one!! Even the Telecom; Tourism; Displaced; Culture. These are three important ministries and especially the displaced ministry. I keep on wondering why he didnt take the displaced? The ministry not having funding is not enough for an answer. Also, now Bassil wont be the next telecom minister either, so what have u won? | | | | | Registered Member

What are the 3 important ministries in Telecom , Displaced, Culture and Tourism?
and how was public work, education, work and culture (first proposal) better than the current one? (lnowing that it was just a mounawara by Hariri who knew very well that Jumblat refuses to lose public works)
Please think a bit before writing. | | | | | Orange Room Moderator

Two weeks ago, Geagea insisted that FPM can't get the Telecom and that Bassil is not the problem here.
The Telecom hiyyeh wizara amniyyeh and if FPM take it, it's like HA taking it.

In an interview with As-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper published on Saturday, Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun said he does not fear Hezbollah in Lebanon or any desire to implement the Iranian concept of Wilayat al-Faqih – the rule of the jurisprudent.
“It is impossible to reach Wilayat al-Faqih, because the Shia in Lebanon do not want this concept and not enough of the population would allow it,” he said.
On the Hezbollah-FPM memorandum of understanding, Aoun said Hezbollah has a different “political pattern” and different priorities than those of the FPM. However, he said the document establishes an understanding about security and defense and paves the way for reform.
Aoun stressed that Hezbollah’s weapons have never harmed any domestic party in its 27 years of existence.
Aoun also said al-Qaeda assassinated former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in 2005 and criticized the international investigation into the case saying that, had it carried out its job correctly, it would have reached a result.
On Syria, Aoun said sometimes relations between enemies become stronger after war.
In regard to the cabinet formation, Aoun said there is nothing barring his son-in-law Gebran Bassil from being re-appointed to his current post as Telecommunications Minister in the new cabinet, adding that it would be beneficial if Bassil sets a reform plan for another ministry after his success in the Telecom Ministry.
