Of course I am against all armed factions outside the army and the direct control of the central government, all, including HA.
that's a very simplistic way to put it. i am not for the arms of HA either, but i am for an armed resistance. however it is not the arms that are the source of the danger, but it is rather discipline, or the lack of it to be more precise.

HA has the ability to put thousands of fighters on streets in a split of a second, and also has the ability to make them disappear even faster. there seems to be a solid and responsible leadership chain in place, and that makes the difference between rog and safe.

it is not what that group declared that should cause you to worry, it is rather what they left unsaid. we do not need an internal balance of terror in Lebanon. we need a Lebanese defense strategy. new armed groups hiding under the banner of resistance will only make it harder to reach a national consensus on a defense strategy.

there is also the issues of extremism and rog fighters out of control, like the ones who are actively seeking to fire kitchen made missiles on israel from the south in order to provoke a retaliation.

so despite feb14's enthusiasm to embrace anything that would compromise HA, there is no real valid reason to rejoice.

It is not clear yet whether this "new resistance" has discipline or not. It is also not clear how it will evolve. Remember HA wasn't born the way it is today...

Again you don't know the capabilities of these guys. You do not know if they are rogue or safe. You also do not know how they will evolve, like HA undeniably evolved over the years.

By the same token we do not want HA weapons either. They need to be integrated in the army ASAP.

HA provoked in 2006, and thereafter even SHN said if he had known that the response would be the way it was he may have acted differently... We still do not know who is provoking now and why.

rhetoric wise, there is little difference between what this group says vis-avis Israel and Gaza, and what HA said. They both left the road open for possible action.

I am neither a Feb14, nor supporting or rejoicing, I am simply pointing out hypocrisies and two-faced behavior. I am against all of these hodgepodge armed groups, and I am also against HA weapons.

I didn't say that it is not a milicia,by the pure definition of the term.I said that it is not a milicia, according to our common perception of the likes that we want to dismantle...Big difference.

Just for the sake of argument, I will answer you in spite that this new group has no credibility at all. I could also launch my own resistance movement and call it "Lallous' jihadis" going after all your off-topic posts...

HA was empowered during an era of occupation where a central state was inexistent and couldn't care less about its citizens' misery. Corruption was enrooted everywhere and everyone was busy filling his pockets meanwhile FPM was fighting the oppression of the syrians and HA is fighting Israel's occupation of the south.

After 2005, we turned from an inexistent state to a failed state. Meanwhile HA was limited by the MoU agreement and by different UN resolutions, our dear government neglected all other armed factions and even granted them a blessing in order to set in place a sectarian confrontation. What has been done against Palestinians' weapons ? What has been done against jihadi salafist movements in North Lebanon ? Does Fath el Islam ring a bell ? So before you come and hit FPM with a low jab, you should question your officials who are in rule. Can you make them accountable for their inefficiency during the last 4 years and give the opposition a chance to solve the national problems on its own once they'll be in power ? I guess not, you rather keep hitting on the same nail even if FPM has nothing to do with it.

Now putting this group on same level as HA is extremely naive and rather shows a brink of hypocrisy. In the current situation of a failed state trying to become a state, don't you think it's easier to limit any new militias trying to enflourish before it attacks a quarantined and bigger case which is HA ?
