No it's not a naive question. Actually it's the core of the problem.

If the 2 states solution is adopted, Palestinians can go only to the new born "Palestinian State".

Thus not to their original home...where they have been deported from...inside "Israel".

Oh... no.... trust me... Hamas is strong in Lebanon. It does not have military presence, but it is strong. Polls show that it has surpassed Fateh in the camps.... Fateh is now competing in terms of popularity with PFLP & co.

No... not even there... I remember in most of their positions, the israelis rejected the "return" of the Palestinians even to the OPT... at least not in significant numbers (in other words not more than 10,000), and subject to joint approval between them and the Palestinian "state." In so many ways, in tune with the demilitarization & no control over airspace clauses... in other words, it would be an entity totally reliant on israel and subject to its whims and interests..

When the regional decision comes, Hizbullah shuts up and obeys, like everyone else.

That is Lebanon.

Not in this case.

1. Palestinian settlement means end of the Palestinian right of return, which HA cares a lot about.

2. Palestinian settlement in Lebanon means a Sunni majority, and HA means what this does mean for the Shias.

But he said problem will find its solution outside the borders of Israel.

Palestinians demand the refugees and their descendents be given the right to return to the homes they abandoned in what is now Israeli territory during the 1948-49 Middle East War.

Israel however says to do so would create a demographic imbalance within generations which would mean the end of Israel as a Jewish state.

Noone is asking that the Palestinians be given an Israeli passport.
Palestinians can return to their homes with a Palestinian passport and so the demographic imbalance for Israel is solved.

What's the next excuse?
