Tel Aviv - The Palestinian refugee problem must be solved outside of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday night. "The refugee problem must be solved and can be solved," he said during a key speech near Tel Aviv outlining his peace policies. But he said problem will find its solution outside the borders of Israel.

Palestinians demand the refugees and their descendents be given the right to return to the homes they abandoned in what is now Israeli territory during the 1948-49 Middle East War.

Israel however says to do so would create a demographic imbalance within generations which would mean the end of Israel as a Jewish state.

That's a good one, but I had proposed a solution to this problem in another thread, which would maintain Lebanon as multicultural enjoy:


There is a very easy solution for the Palestinian problem which, once and for all, will finish it, but I wonder why no one is considering it : "El Mounasafe!".

Assume we have 600 000 Palestinian, we naturalize them all, but we register 300 000 as Maronite Christians and the remaining 300 000 as Sunni.

That would be a great solution, would keep the sectarian balance, and no one will oppose anymore.

P.S. Mouselase would also work, but is not necessary, the Shi3a can easily catch up in a couple of years
