Well maybe I am not aware about the work of reporters, how I imagine though a professional reporter: she/he does not speak about private stuffs in front of screens risking a lousy sound engineer /deliberately or mistakenly/ putting them on air.
Am I aiming too high with the professionalism level here?

She has the right to have whatever opinion in private sure, but not on TV.

And if other TVs doing alike mistakes repeatedly they should be condemned equally, however this wont make her mistake void.

That the international media is not reporting about abuses against Michel Aoun, well sure its about politics.

She was saying it in private, but it happened that she was unlucky. It is like few years ago, we had this Lebanese girl who was caught on tape fooling around with her boyfriend. You would see all the people who are much much worse and do much much worse talking about her with despise. It just happened that she was the unlucky one. It doesn't mean that what she did she what the only one to do it.
Same here. The whole population thinks like her, each against the other clan, she was the unlucky one, that's all.

However I dont know which counts more professionalism or a good wasta.
Then I guess this settles it about naivety, if only there were forum rules for that. As for what the reporter was saying, if we put microphones for everyone then there wouldn't be any difference.

She is not the only one who hates Fatfat, a minister who betrayed his own country and served the enemy, both politically & tea.

I was referring to this in my post as well. But as everybody keeps repeating it as the strongest argument, then what can I say.

Do I need to remind you that during the Arab University incidents, Future TV, which was covering the Arab League summit, switched to live scenes from Jnah of people crashing cars and destroying bikes, the anchor was literally saying :" look at those sleazy, uncivilised and putschist gangsters who want to destroy Lebanon ..." he was talking as if the people in the picture were hezbollah members, then when they added the voice, these people were cursing SHN "k*** ***** ya nasrallah!", the anchor's face turned yellow and he was like "we move back to the Arab summit" , turns out that the people he was cursing were harirists! the video is posted somewhere in this forum, i'l ltry to find it, if anyone finds it , please post it again...

Future TV never apologised for this, which is a lot sleazier than what happened on NBN, and I haven't heard any condemnation or lawsuit request!

pathetic!!!

A very particular incident happens in which a reporter gloats/mocks the death of an MP. Not just that, she continues hoping and wishing the death of another. Instead of doing what IS right, people come and bring up issues TOTALLY unrelated to the PARTICULAR event. It is a way to DIVERGE issues, COVER them up, RIDICULE them, and eventually, "justify" them.

Maybe, in the future, some FPM MP will be brutally murdered, some FTV anchor will mock him. Then, she will be fired. Then, she will be outrageously hired because of the non-sensical reasons they hired NBN anchor back. I bet you people will come back and say :"You cannot blame her, NBN did the same, Manar also have such a lowly sectarian propganada" etc .... Yeah right ...

The level of professionalism in Lebanese media is very low. Despite the fact that she made a gross mistake and should have been permanently fired because of it, I cannot blame NBN for re-instituting her. It happens everyday, and nobody blinks.

There should be a code of ethics governing the media. Until then, I can't see why anybody should feel bad about this.

She shouldn't have been reinstated. She made a huge blunder on national TV.

that is something totally unprofessional and the "everyone is doing it so why should only she be punished? " excuse isn't much convincing.

Does the "leading by example" principle ring any bell?
