I think that there are reason to believe that this reporter got her job through other means than skills and qualifications. Family connection perhaps? As a shareholder I would be the first one to demand the sacking of any OTV-journalist who would made such a blunder.

She lacked professionalism and @ the end of the day, she represents a TV Station and their image is at stake.
After RIP Pierre Gemayel assassination, some LF and Kataeb thugs went out on the streets of ASHRAFIEH and started burning GMA's pictures and breaking FPM bureaus, on Future TV and LBC they showed the pictures and their comment was people of Ashrafieh expressing their anger at Pierre's killers. Now you tell me please which of those 2 events are worse?

I agree with you, but what do you expect from a country where even the Prime minister is not responsible for his words?

Should we prosecute the thieves of gums and not touch the bank thieves???

There was a pretty big international scandal about her, and I would be very naive if I would think that she done it unintentionally she was not aware etc.... either way this is utterly unprofessional.
However I dont know which counts more professionalism or a good wasta.

To the ones that compare this journalist blunder with other bad taste utterings, just remember that two wrongs does not make one right. If NBN got rid of this non-professional then at least they would lead by example.

The international scandal was due to the fact that the international media took this incident and put it under the spotlight.

I am sure that whatever she will say, everyone will think that she did it intentionally so I wont argue here about that.

It is not unprofessional of her at all, this is not her mistake. The unprofessional one was the Sound engineer that put her on air when she was having a supposedly private conversation, what if she was telling her best friend about some intimate moment with her husband???

People talk all kinds of things in private and noone has the right to judge them on what they do or talk in private!!

So what kept her in her post was not wasta nor her professionalism, what kept her in her work was justice.

What you hear on Future TV and LBC is much more disrespectful and low than what this poor Sawsan said!
A line should be drawn when death threats are uttered.

I agree that 2 wrongs don't make a right, but my point was that I don't think she deserves to be kicked out of her work for a mistake she is not responsible for. Plus, what you see and hear on LBC & Future are preplanned and organised brain washing media propaganda, and not a "simple" mistake as in her case.
