Well we'll have to wait and see; nothing that has hapenned up to now shows that Christians are in a better position though.
Christians of Irak had nothing to do with either the Sunna or Shia, they was living happily ever after sidelined, yet they were still due to emigration out of the country of their ancestors.
If Jumblat happenned to switch back to Syria and Iran, its cause the dude is moody, and stands not on a keen reading of the future; its cause when Condoliza Rice left him off all alone to face the Shia in the mini-civil war two years ago, that he got all pissed off at the Americans.
This is Jumblat, don't overdoe the guy; its just pragmatism mixed with a bit of spontaneousity.
Now that it happenned that Jumblat switched back to Syria; while GMA switched to Syria a bit earlier; its just a coincidence; which would only weaken GMA.
Jumblat was the last sectarian prey FPM could go after to fuel in some support.
So, how nice is it, having a great eye for the future while on a sinking ship. Could you imagine? LOL
FPM is all about heroisim and strong historical stands, but when it comes to playing it safe with a clear reading of the future, humm don't fool yourselves. No one is perfect.

First, this thread is about GMA long term vision and not Walid Biek flip flops.
He fought the Syrians when they were occupying Lebanon and made peace with them when they left. Unless you are suggesting to line up the Lebanese people and army at the border demanding withdrawal Syrian Army out of Syria.
Second, GMA tried and still trying to open channels with most leaders to save the country.
Third, Shia are Lebanese born in Lebanon unless if you don't consider the South part of the country.
GMA's vision to Lebanon, was and still, to build a free independent country away from thieves and outside interference.
