I mean, he knew in 1990 taef was bad. He knew couple of years back you cant stand against syria/iran .. now junblatt is seeing it.

I have to say, despite I doubted this guy many times and hated him. He proved me wrong, he got great eye for the future.

Could you tell us what made you changed your mind and in what area did you "see wrong"?

1- the MOU and the entente with the shia
2- the idea to rely no more on the west but on our people and environment

BTW, its a small footnote, BUT GENERAL was the first one to adopt and embrace the use of the internet media , and he was the pioneer when he had the ( TAYYAR.ORG) displayed on his podium, many people wondered what is that?........

I always knew GMA can see for the future! On kalem nass once he told Marcel the US can't survive in Iraq and if not now soon they will leave it but they can't leave Iraq without the help of Syria and some Middle Eastern countries and GMA was right!!! While all the 14 febs gangs were busy attacking Syria, GMA knew that a day will come where all of them Jumblat, hariri... will go to Syria za7ef!!

GMA is a great Lebanese Leader and politician and if it wasn't of him u would see LF and HA/amal now fighting 3a tali3 w nezil!

If 50% of the Christians in Lebanon trust him, I don't ask for more!

I totally agree with you Lebanesgirl. It is not only LF versus HA/Amal fighting but the shia against most (all?) the others !!!! GMA predicted what will happen in Lebanon if the shia was forced in a corner and with the historical agreement with HA he saved Lebanon and the lebanese people from a new civil war.

There is no doubt in my mind that "Majd Lebnen" should be given to him, he saved many lives by preventing possible war and destruction by this agreement and by his ability to foresee things before it happens.

Just the different is very simple if you remember.

The Syrian army was in Lebanon and he predicted also that Syrians won't go out in 2 years as TAEF said and What he said came true they stayed 15 years.
So he stood against Syrians to prevent the occupation.

You should live with your time. Let me remind you that the syrian army were occupying the country and they still had one thing to achieve : get rid of this man and all what he represents.

If any one of you remembers the press conference he made about the taf agreement.
He told the reporters, the Taef is not made to be implemented, the Syrian won't leave because there is no clear schedule.
The reporters asked him, the partiarch, and Georges Saadeh agreed on it, is it possible that they didn't see that he replied:
"They have no vision"
My God everytime I remember this I have tears in my eyes.
There are plenty of other examples.
He as proven to me (at least) that he is a man of vision but in a country full of traitors.
