So why should the FPM leave any seats for his brother when the election could be very tight. It's not like it's a charity contest knowing how seriously the Lebanese take inconsequential events such as electing representatives who barely contribute enything useful to the well being of that country.

They could leave a position vacant if they can get a trade it off with another one where the kataeb is sure to win but it's hard to tell in which area it they hold sway.

They could do it indirectly though by having a SSNP candidate on their list. That would be sure bet for them to lose a lot of the Christian votes and may get the younger Gemayyel over the line without looking like a philantropic gesture, assuming of course that the armenians will still be part of the FPM coalition.

The beauty of Lebanese elections is that they are devoid of any ideological context they look like a comedy with too many characters and hardly a worthwhile plot.

bull's eye. FPM risks alienating a considerable chunk of voters if it runs with a full list; no matter how that list is conceived. but still, i have as much sympathy for SSNP as i do for AG and Murr.

an SSNP candidate in the list is as bad an omen as a full list that doesn't include SSNP.

unless SSNP runs with an orthodox candidate this time around, it would solve many problems; tashnaq would be satisfied and the gemayel's guy (the father or the son) would remain out, for good hopefully.

no one is waiting for u to see anything really, nor no one is waiting for ur precious biased feedback and judgement.

how fpm runs in metn will depend on the best form of list needed to win the elections.

i repeat, no one cares to keep arguing with u guys about the size of fpm and whatnot, the only thing that matters is choosing the best list with the biggest potential of winning.

Metn i assume will be hard. MM does not even know which side he wants to go with. He said that he is now independant. So his suppoters will ONLY vote for him ? Is he going to have a list of ONLY him and Tashnaq ? One thing for sure is that MM & tashnaq will be allied but Tashnaq does not want to leave out GMA and MM does not want to leave out AG. At the end it will be a tough battle and no list will be completely win. There will be 'khare2' bi listet.
