i think the FPM is not santa clause.i dont see why they should leave him a seat.that also goes for the other opposition parties.they should do no favor.

Amine Gemeyel is NOT running for an mp position in 2009 - SAMI GEMEYAL is.

it makes no difference.the lebanese parliament is becoming more of a kindagarten.with no offense to anyone's age,i believe in young men,but not those who need seats to be reserved for them.and we need new faces.samy is like two faces of the same coin.we need names we've not heard of.

We are not Caritas, nor our votes are for leasing, GMA does not have the right to do that to us, and if he does, I will be extremely disappointed by him, probably for the very first time.

should AG be provided an easy ride to the parliament this time around or should he work hard to earn it?

i personally would like to see FPM running with a full list for two main reasons:

1- AG and his late son (RIP) did not show any gratitude at all for GMA's nice gesture to leave them an opening.

2- while leaving a seat open on FPM's list may be a good strategy to invoke "toushtib" on the rival list, it will prevent those who want to elect an 8th FPMer to the parliament from doing so, and i beleive we can score a full victory 8/8 with a full list.

ur thoughts.
Metn is a very unique district , where no single party have a pure electoral base of more than 20 % of the total population ,so what you mentioned in the thread regarding "FPM list" is wrong , you should have said instead " should C&R block leave an empty seat or not"

It was obvious from the 2007 by elections that Metnis dont like to close political family houses , so this spirit of cancellation among some FPMers is not a smart move to make .

Personally if i was a decision taker i will leave 3 empty seats on the C&R block list for both Murr (in case he was not on the C&R list) and Gemayel , since their popular base is approximately 3 deputies , this kind of move will have a very positive response from the metnis towards GMA .
