Ghassan Ra7banni has my full support. I will try to convince and explain my point to my fellow tashnag members. The best choice would be to leave it up to people whom to choose between MM and Gassan Ra7banni. ( lol trust me Armenians will definitely go for G. Ra7banni).

I could not find better than Ghassan Rahbani for the following reasons:

1- He is capable of reaching out to many Lebanese in general and Metniotes in particular. Under the current attack and propanaganda against FPM, it is important that FPM's message be conveyed to as many citizens as possible, so the messenger has to be somebody who can attract a wide audience.

2- Ghassan represents the spirit of youth and revolution. We need new faces and better representation for FPM. Even though many of the current FPM officials and MPs are good, but new candidates with higher charisma are essential.

3- Ghassan has his special and artistic means to make FPM's message heard. He also knows to turn on, not only FPM activists, but many many of our reluctant supporters.

4- Ghassan is somebody on whom GMA and FPMers can rely, he never betrayed the cause and never back stabbed FPM.

This is my personal opinion, what do other forumers and, eventually FPM officials, think ?
Michel El Murr's true colors never faded, they were always out there, he never changed sides, he never became (or tried to show that he's) a better man.

He was always a corrupt person and he'll always be.

The problem with FPMers is that, for one reason or another, they decided to forget about all that as long as he's voting for them.
A couple of weeks ago, Murr was better than the traitors of 14 chbat (because he was still in the C&R block) now that he's out, he's a traitor.

Guys, Michel el Murr is one tens of others who support the FPM for personal gains, please please please stop defending the undefendable.

We're lucky that Murr showed his true colors now to wake some people up, hopefully Berry, Wahhab and others will do the same and call the FPM jalabit so that some of you could see the light

The Bou jawdeh are not the Jal-el-Dib family....They are from Jouret el Ballout and the neighboring areas.

And If the situation is still the same like 2005 (from the list point of view) i think even if the toshtib was on one candidate he will still win.

And note that:
1- Ghassan Rahbani is in very good terms with the armenian community
2- Ghassan Moukheiber is VERY VERY popular in Metn
As much as i respect Ghassan Moukheiber, and i seriously think that he's one of the best MP's we have, but concerning his popularity in MEtn well i dont know. he barely got a few thousand votes when he was running alone in the partial election of Myrna/Gabriel..

I dnt know if the last couple of years his popularity got up a bit...

Do you choose your own party's candidates?

Does anyone in Lebanon who supports a party and who is not a member of the party's leadership (not to say the party's leader) choose a candidate? I am a member of FPM, no one has asked me who do I like to have on FPM's list, yet, I will vote for the list of FPM. I challenge any non-leadership member of any party to tell me he has gone through a different situation.

Armenians in majority support Tashnaq and vote for the candidate of Tashnaq, it's just like saying the Chiaa in majority support Hizb and vote for the candidate of Hizb, Druze in majority support PSP and vote for the candidate of PSP, etc...

Until we found a party who cares about the opinion of its supporters (through referendums or else), we have to ask ourselves what may the Tashnaq do (and not "the Armenians do") in case we, FPM, decide not to leave a space for Murr.

I think now it's the best occasion ever to finalize Murr and his corrupt methods of control. Tashnaq must have witnessed so far the difference between giving without asking in return vis-a-vis buying support through so-called services... Wisdom favors choosing FPM for a political alliance on solid basis that lasts much more than the 40 years Murr was mentioning.
