تعرّض مرافق الوزير ماريو عون "اندره عدوان" مساء الإثنين لعملية خطف على أيدي مجهولين كانوا يقودون سيارة جيب داكن الزجاج، حيث اعترضوا طريق المعتدى عليه واقتادوه بالقوة الى جهة مجهولة. وقد مورست عليه أبشع أنواع الضغوط الجسدية والنفسية، وقد أبلغوه ضرورة تركه للتيار الوطني الحر كون الوزير عون سيكون المستهدف في المرة المقبلة. وقد تُرك بعد ساعات طويلة في منطقة المونتيفيردي.


إن مكتب الوزير عون إذ يستنكر هذا العمل الجبان، يشدد على المضيّ قدمًا ودون تردد في مسيرة التغيير والإصلاح في سبيل تحقيق دولة القانون والمؤسسات،
ويؤكد أن هذه التصرفات لا تزيدنا سوى قوة وعزمًا لمواجهة الممارسات الميليشياوية الهادفة الى ردع التيار الوطني الحر وتعطيل مسيرته الإنقاذية.

وختم مكتب الوزير عون مؤكدًا أن تاريخ التيار الوطني الحر لشاهد على إرادة الصمود والتصدي التي يمتلكها وامتلكها في ظروف كانت أشد وأصعب وأحلك.
