Unfortunately, his concept works. It got George Bush elected twice in a society that’s supposed to have all kinds of freedoms and easy access to true information through communication and Internet.
Needless to say, most of the neoconservatives were Strauss’s students or students of his students such as Paul Wolfowitz. If you read Strauss’s recommendations how to control the masses, you’ll be stunned to realize the Bush regime used it like a text book.
Fear, Religion and Nationalism are the basis yet, Strauss had no National loyalty and turned to atheism from Judaism. The other ironic observation is, the business of The Christian Right in America is run mostly by Jews: Paul Wofowitz, Richard Pearl, Douglas Faith and so on. Carl Rove called their followers Christian nuts….
Many Americans finally woke up and got rid on their butchers pausing as shepherd. I like to believe some of the so called “Loyalists” in Lebanon realize they’ve been had and make wise and educated choices so they can enjoy the victory with us come June 7th.

If you happen to be too young to remember, ask your parents and they’ll tell you: back in the seventies, Syria was invited to Lebanon by Camille Chamoun and Pierre Gemayel with US guaranties that Syria will be on the Christian’s side… We all know the rest of the story.
Syria occupied Lebanon for 29 years with the blessing of the US and Israel while the Lebanese voices were muffled until GMA stood up against them all.
Once again, if you don’t want history repeating itself by having Syria controlling your life all over again, don’t elect the same old dynasties that failed you miserably during the past 50 years.

أكد اللواء جميل السيد أن "إذا ما حاسب النائب سعد الحريري من زج بي في السجن طوال هذه الفترة، فأنا أتهمه شخصياً"، لافتاً إلى أن "الهدف من إعتقالي أنا والضباط كان سياسياً وليس لمعرفة الحقيقة، وأقول للحريري لن تعرف الحقيقة إذا لم تحاسب هؤلاء".

وفي حديثٍ إلى تلفزيون "الجزيرة" أشار السيد إلى أن "المحكمة الفرنسية قبلت بناءً على طلبي محاكمة قاضي تحقيق اللجنة الدولية الأسبق ديتليف ميليس بتهمة الإفتراء والتشهير، وذلك في الأول من الشهر الجاري"، لافتاً إلى أن "الأمر ذاته بالنسبة إلى السفير جوني عبدو".
وأشار إلى أن "ميرزا أرسل إلى إبني مع صديق له كلاماً مفاده: استغلوا 7 أياروهددوني أو اشتموا القاضي صقر صقر لتخرجوا من السجن"، لافتاً إلى أن "القاضي رالف رياشي أمر بتنحية الياس عيد في ظروف مشبوهة"

السيد لفت إلى أن "كان بإمكاني أن لا أكون موقوفاً أو معتقلاً منذ بداية التحقيق، وكنت لأكون مكان وزير العدل بدلاَ من ابراهيم نجار اليوم"، لافتاً إلى أن "أعتبر نفسي مسؤول أخلاقياً عما أقول".
ومن جهةٍ أخرى اعتبر السيد أن "الشاهد زهير الصديق كان نبياً عند سعد الحريري، واليوم أصبح منبوذاً في الإمارات ولا أحد يطالب به"، مشيراً إلى أن "لدي معلومات تقول أن سوريا طالبت به، وستنكشف الأمور وتسقط الرؤوس".

وعلى صعيدٍ آخر، لفت إلى أن "إذا ما فازت المعارضة في 7 حزيران في الإنتخابات النيابية، وأرادت تسليمي منصباً ما أو مكافأتي، فسأستلم وزارة العدل".
وفي الإطار نفسه اعتبر السيد أن "وضع البلد في خطر إذا لم يقبضوا على المجرمين"، وأعلن لما أسماهم بالتمورطين وشهود الزور "أن إذا تكلموا في الحقيقة فالجهة التي عينتهم ستؤذيهم، ولكن أقول لهم اعترفوا بالحقيقة لتخففوا من خطأكم".

وأشار السيد إلى أن "اعتقدت أن التحقيق في البداية مناورة"، لافتاً إلى أن "الأمين العام لحزب الله السيد حسن نصرالله تفاجأ في الموضوع كما فعلت زوجتي".
واعتبر أن "من يصر على تصوير الموضوع وكأن لهم تداعيات في المستقبل، فهو يتكلم على أساس سياسي وليس قضائي".

اضاف السيّد: "سعد الحريري يجب أن يحاسب من حوله ولكن بعد مرور ثلاث أسابيع من دعوتي هذه يبدو أنّ الحريري باع قضية والده بالسياسة

Former head of the General Security Department Maj. Gen. Jamil Sayyed said he is willing to become justice minister if the opposition wins the elections and wants to award him with that post.
"If the opposition wins in the June parliamentary elections and wants to give me a post or reward me, I will take charge of the justice ministry," Sayyed told al-Jazeera TV network late Saturday.

He also said that he and three other generals were arrested in 2005 in connection with ex-Premier Rafik Hariri's murder for "political" purposes only and not for the sake of "truth."

Sayyed and the other officers were released last month.

He told al-Jazeera that a French court agreed to prosecute former chief U.N. investigator Detlev Mehlis and former Ambassador Johnny Abdo for fabricating lies.

"Witness Zuhair Siddiq was a prophet for (MP) Saad Hariri and now he is an outcast in the United Arab Emirates and no one is demanding his extradition," Sayyed said.

"I have information that Syria asked for his extradition and things will be unveiled and heads will roll," he added.

first of all,it's still too early for the new government to be formed, it is not as simple
as you may want to think.
the whole opposition will have to decide about the best combination
for the best interest of Lebanon and he may not be necessarily
an ingredient in that combination.....
anyway ElSayyed will be in HA/Amal share not FPM's share.
second, he has a lot to do and a lot of answers to give before
thinking of becoming a minister.
third, you should thank him because,in fact, he is trying to help you in
the elections.(i have an idea why).
besides all of the above, i think that FPM has, at least, 2 possible candidates
for the position of Minister of Justice: Messrs. Youssef Saadallah el Khoury and Chakib Kortbawi.

إذا فاز الجميّل ـــ جعجع، يحكم الحريري ـــ جنبلاط وحدهما

جان عزيز-

مَن يحكم لبنان إذا فازت المعارضة؟ ومَن يحكمه إذا فازت الموالاة؟ وأين يقع الصوت المسيحي من السيناريوين السابقين؟ مسألة أثيرت في حمأة الضجيج الإعلامي والصخب الانتخابي. لكنها مسألة تستحق أكثر من تدقيق، جدي، هادئ، وبالأرقام. فإذا ما سلّمنا بداية بأن موازين المعركة متقاربة، وإذا ما سلّمنا بأن أي فوز لأي طرف من الطرفين لن يكون بأكثر من مقاعد يقلّ عددها عن عدد أصابع اليد الواحدة... حينها يمكن الانطلاق في القراءة المطلوبة من فرضية أن الأكثرية المقبلة يمكن أن تكون أكثرية التماس، أو أكثرية الـ65 نائباً فقط.
وبالانطلاق من هذه الفرضيات المنطقية، لنبدأ مع السيناريو الأول: ماذا لو فازت الموالاة بأكثرية مقاعد المجلس النيابي المقبل؟ عندها سيكون تحالف الحريري ـــــ جنبلاط ـــــ الجميّل ـــــ جعجع ومستقليّ الموالاة الراهنة، قد حازوا مجتمعين 65 مقعداً نيابياً. لكن كيف ستتوزّع مقاعد تلك الأكثرية المفترضة؟

الثابت والأكيد أن حصة أمين الجميّل لا يمكن أن تتعدى 6 نواب استناداً إلى القراءة المنطقية والواقعية، من ضمن الفرضية الأولى، فيما تكون حصة سمير جعجع 6 نواب آخرين، في أقصى احتمال، ويكون للمسيحيين المستقلين المتحالفين معهم حوالى 4 مقاعد. أي إن مجموع مقاعد النواب المنتمين إلى أحزاب مسيحية، ضمن الأكثرية المحتملة في هذا السيناريو، لن يتعدى 16 نائباً. وإذا ما احتسبنا الحصة الجنبلاطية على قاعدة حدّها الأقصى 11 نائباً، يصل مجموع نواب الأكثرية وفق هذا السيناريو، من غير الحريريين، إلى 27 نائباً فقط. وانطلاقاً من الفرضية الأولى بأن الأكثرية ستكون عند «خط التماس»، أي 65 نائباً، عندها يتّضح أن كتلة النواب الحريريين في هذا السيناريو ستكون مؤلفة من 38 نائباً.

ولأن فريق الموالاة يعلن منذ الآن أنه إذا حاز الأكثرية النيابية سيحكم وحده، ومن دون أي شراكة أو ائتلاف، فهذا يعني أن الحكومة المنبثقة من هذا السيناريو الأول ستكون انعكاساً دقيقاً لموازين أكثريته النيابية. ما يعني أن الفريق الحريري سيحصد بمفرده حوالى 60 في المئة من المقاعد الوزارية. فيما تحصل الكتلة الجنبلاطية على حوالى 17 في المئة من عدد الوزراء، ليبقى لمسيحيي الموالاة، بكل أحزابهم وشخصياتهم، حوالى 23 في المئة من المقاعد الوزارية.

وهذا يظهر أن فوز الموالاة الحالية في الانتخابات، وبالأكثرية النيابية، سيعطي ثنائي الحريري ـــــ جنبلاط أكثر من ثلاثة أرباع وزراء الحكومة المقبلة، فيما سيكون لكل المسيحيين المتحالفين معهم أقل من ربع الحكومة، ما يعني أن الحكم في هذا السيناريو الأول سيكون فعلياً لثنائي الحريري ـــــ جنبلاط، ولن يتمكن حلفاؤهما من المسيحيين، حتى من الحصول على الثلث الضامن لمشاركتهم في الحكم المنبثق من هذه الفرضية.

لكن ماذا عن السيناريو الثاني؟ ماذا لو فازت المعارضة الحالية بالأكثرية نفسها، أي 65 نائباً؟ تظهر المقارنة الرقمية ذاتها أنه في هذه الحال سيكون لنبيه بري 15 نائباً حداً أقصى، وسيكون للحزب القومي 4 نواب، أما كتلة حزب الله فلا يمكن أن تتخطى في أي حال من الأحوال 11 نائباً، هم كل مرشّحي هذا الحزب. ليصير مجموع هؤلاء 30 نائباً. وإذا كان المطلوب لضمان الأكثرية 65 نائباً، فهذا يعني أن حصة تكتل التغيير والإصلاح بمكوّناته المتعددة من «مردة» و«كتلة شعبية» و«نواب الأرمن» و«تيار وطني حر» والمستقلين المتحالفين معهم، لن تكون أقل من 35 نائباً، (وللمفارقة هو الرقم نفسه الذي توقّعه عون لكتلته في حديث إعلامي).

ولأن الموالاة الحالية تعلن منذ الآن أنه في حال خسارتها ستترك الحكم بكامله للفائز، فهذا يعني أن الحكومة المنبثقة من هذا السيناريو ستكون بنسبة حوالى 54 في المئة من مقاعدها لتكتل ميشال عون، لتوزّع النسب الباقية بين نبيه بري (23%)، حزب الله (حوالى 17%).
هكذا يظهر أن أي اقتراع مسيحي لحلفاء الحريري ـــــ جنبلاط سيؤدي إلى إعطاء هذين الاثنين بمفردهما القدرة على التحكّم في كل النظام. فيما الاقتراع المسيحي لميشال عون سيجعل من مسيحييه أكثرية في الحكم، شركاء متوازين مع الآخرين.
هل هذا ما يفسّر تلك الحرب الكونية على عون؟

If 14 March wins 71 deputies (VERY BEST SCENARIO ALL THE CANDIDATES WON)
Mr. Geagea will get 6 deputies
Mr. Gemayel will get 6 deputies
Independents (on 14 feb lists) get 4 deputies
Mr. Jumblat will get 17 deputies
Mr. Hariri will get 38 deputies .
which means Future Movement will have 60% of the next government ,
Mr. Jumblat 17% and the Christians of 14 feb 23% of the government.
as a result Mr.Hariri and Mr.Jumblat will have 75% of the government seats and the rest which is 25% for the LF, Kataeb,and independents , ye3ne bel 3arabeh el mchabra7 3/4 bi 1/4 , and they dare talk about mouselasseh !!!!

Up till early June 2009, very few 14 Adar Christian supporters would have bothered reading it or considered the seriousness of their situation.
It’s amazing how little things have changed during the last few years.

What will happen to the Christians if Hezbollah and Amal decided to rejoin Saniora Government?

First of all, would the F14 gang be calling themselves pro Syrians pro Iranians if HA rejoined them, or they’ll be calling HA pro Western? And what about GMA, would he not be considered opposition anymore?
Why the Saniora Government is begging HA to come back, but GMA is not welcomed in?

"If you can’t beat them, join them". It’s a famous American saying.
How many of us honestly believe that the US and Israel were capable of destroying Hezbollah last year but didn’t?
How many of us have not yet understood what Nasrallah meant by declaring the war outcome as a strategic victory?
How many of us still believe the US will have a better opportunity in the future to destroy HA?
It’s a wishful thinking to many, but as of now, America is relearning the old Vietnam lesson all over again, starting from Iraq. That lesson is, no matter how powerful you are; you can kill people and destroy their homes but you can never destroy their IDIOLOGY.
It’s amazing how many of us fail to question a story that does not make sense simply because we like the sound of it
I wish I could say it loud enough; disarming HA is no longer an option on the American agenda.
Their alternative option is to allow HA running their own independent mini state with their arms intact, while creating another Palestinian Sunni mini state, and so on.
And yes, once the Palestinian settlement becomes implemented, Israel will have no problem making a deal with the HA State, meeting each other demands including borders security.
Nahr el Bared event is another eye opener about the shift in the International agenda in giving up on the South and focusing on the North instead to establish the Palestinian State.
That means Hezbollah’s victory last year paid off for HA, but they did hoverer pay their dues.
Now what about the Christians in Lebanon?
Using the same American philosophy, the Christians while divided, and unwilling to pay their dues and, without HA on their side, are weak and can be beaten. Not only they don’t have arms, but much worse, they don’t have an IDIOLOGY. They love to sell!
Therefore, they will be the ones to pay the ultimate price; THEIR IDENTITY.
That is exactly what will happen if HA cut their own deal and went back to the Government to elect the chosen President without GMA.
It is a fascinating picture when we realize that the Christians in the F14 camp took a down payment to sell their identity while HA is fighting to protect it for them.


For now, dear LF supporters, let’s contemplate those pictures because you’ll need to get used to them from now on. This week Hariri and Jumblatt are bowing in front of SHN; next week they’ll be in Damascus.
(I’d appreciate if someone can post a picture of the same puppets sitting with Bush in the White House, just to refresh our memories.)
