LEB_ASHRAFIEH.Thank you for stating the fact of more then 85% of othodox in maten voted for murr.

I tell you people since long ago and murr gets the vote of armenian orthodox always.

He has followers and gd representation. He deserves to be in hiwar.

Ofcourse some will say he doesnt represent me like an orthodox but this are just minority.

Michel el Murr deserves to be in there.

Strider, for a metniote you do not seem to know much about the metn. Regardless of my views of Michel el Murr, I have to say that he has built a huge network of popular support through hiw "Khadamet".

He might have been corrupt or not that is not the point. He might represent you or not; but that is not the point. He certainly has a lot of followers in Matn, his people have won numerous Baladiyet; and to be fair, it isn't the moujannassin who allowed him to become a deputy.

He probably even has more support than what the Gemayel family has left.

Now coming back to the Myrna vs Gaby issue; it is certain that through an FPM/LF alliance, Myrna would strictly gather her father's supporters votes. Taking that into consideration, don't you think that Myrna got quite a few votes, or do you still believe that Michel el Murr represents no one but himself? It is not because you do not think he represents you that he doesn't represent anyone.

Now to answer the main question, as someone stated, there should be ongoing discussions between the three parties that are the most representative. Ya3ne, LF+PSP+FM agree on the issues to be discussed and send one representatve; GMA & allies (Skaff, Murr...) send one of their own and Hezb/Amal a third one.

If I had o go with one of the two, I'd say Murr because he simply represents more people on the ground.

Thank You!

zamile THIS IS THE MAIN TOPIC ....if u read the original thread that i DID you

will see .... i never opened it to make us fight between MURR and MAKARY ....

my main goal was to discuss what is MORE IMPORTANT whether the official

post OR the representation of the sect
and it happend that right now we

are suffering from this problem so it saw it as a good opportunity to discuss

the issue ....not to classify MURR and MAKARY

To all those who are saying that murr have a lot of supporter and...

Well its kind of easy knowing that this guy way of doing politics is: Mchi ma3 l wa2if

1st Martyr Bachir Gemayel
then Lahoud (he did a mistake there coz they are related now so he is kind of stuck)
then GMA

(those are just the biggest ma7atate)

So Personnaly I refuse to even talk (coz a person learn from previous mistakes) to this guy but aparently elections change a lot of stuff so...

Dear all;

this is not a popularity contest, it is not Miss Lebanon here....

Berri's idea behind the dialogue is to gather the representative blocks in the parliament around a round table.

whether we agree with the logistics of the invitations is a different story.

There are 2 main lines of thoughts, and Berri is trying to have them both represented.

regarding orthodox, he assigned 2 people, one from each line of thought, Ghassan Tueini, and Michel Murr...

If Farid Mekari is whining because he holds the position of vice president of the chamber of deputies, then it is Elias Murr's right to do so as well...

On the other hand, i dont see nobody whining about Samir Azar being one of the representatives of the Amal block...

Regards

This is really sad when people like Murr or Makari are the only names being considered to represent the Orthodoxs.

Murr has been accused of embezzlement of public funds (Matn Highway).

Makari has been accused of corruption related to embezzlement of funds (Radio Liban).

And still people seem to consider them as "viable" options. Hilarious.

Dry ice,

i understand your frustration, however, this is the case of most of the politicians present at the round table, starting from former president Amine Gemayel (Puma case) to Berri (majless l jnoub) to Jumblatt (wizaret l mhajjarin)....

isnt a pity that those are the representatives of the lebanese people?

it is, but thats what we have got right now
