No matter what the excuse or the reason is, the point is that he got elected and for this term, he is an MP and for the time being and until the next elections he has the majority of the votes. You need to live with it. Next election, do what ever you need to do to correct the situation (democratically)!!

Cheers

Does this mean that Murr should represent The Orthodox in the 7iwar meeting or the vice-president Makary ?

THANKS.

Thank you for this valuable insight Mzalat, yes indeed no need for sects representer as you rightly noted; since if we really wanted to stick for sects representers, this would be synonym of free corruption, and by looking at the case of Mr. Michel el Murr which name is brought up, one could label him as Mr. Metn Corruption by excellence.

As by an article posted by the official website of Tayyar in March 16, 2005; LFPM confirmed through a contact at the Real Estate directories in Zalka, that elements belonging to Mr. Michel Murr and under the protection of elements of the presidential guard, entered those directories and started modifying and deleting almost 2300 real estate files belonging to the metn directory and this under the eyes of the head of section and the real estate supervisor. The numbers of these real estate deeds appeared to match the Cap Sur Ville project in Mar Roukoz - Dekwaneh, the Zaarour touristic project, the Hotel Project in Dbayeh, Al Amara building and a number of projects related to the President of the Republic and to the vice-Speaker.

Those elements also headed for the civil directorate in Metn and to several other municipalities to perform the same job, which lead to a crash down in the central computer system which issues real estate reports for the entire Metn and attempts were still in progress to repair the errors caused by those well ordered "deletions" and "modifications" and the IT technical teams were not able to fix the network at the time of this report (3/16/05) whereby scores of Lebanese citizens were waiting for their papers, while many of them knew by know the scandal that was going on and which purpose was to hide the thousands of preceeding scandals.

The sect repesentation thing is flawed in the first place.

If it were up to me, the guy that represents me, as an orthodox, the most would me Ghassan tueni.

You still didn't answer the main question, which is :
1) Murr should respresent the orthodox in the 7iwar meeting, because of the late elections statictics
2) Makary should respresent the orthodox in the 7iwar meeting, because he's the vice president of the Chamber

Please pick 1 OR 2 !

Thank you.

Ever heard of neither? Does neither mean off-topic? Neither mean sticking with the topic but proposing a 3rd alternative. Neither, since an important element which is "clean hands" has not been considered.

Well I am orthodox and none of those represent me infact no one represent me I should be sitting on the table but since thats not possible and they want someone to represent the orthodox well let them choose someone smart, educated like Ghassan Tueini for example but oups I almost forgot Ghassan tueini made the 425 and was an ambasador in the UN for a long period so he knows whats right and whats wrong in every thing they will say about the UN decisions so he is not good for neither of the "confronting" groups coz he will correct every word they say!

like lots of people have said they should just call for representation for the 3 Takatol
1. Eslah & Taaghyir
2. Futur & March 14
3. Hezb & Amal

In lebanon you have so many political parties (almost every family has his own) and consider himself important). Do we need to call all of them?
After the elections (and the way the coalitions were made up during the elections) there is only three groups and these three groups represent the lebanese people.

In the present situation, the orthodox personality that have the most of the orthodox votes is Michel Murr then if anyone should represent the orthodox it would be him. I know lot of people will say ... I am orthodox and this person doesn't represent me ... I will tell you that you are from the minority that didn't vote for Murr and there is about over 85% of orthodox in metn voted for Michel Murr.
