Yih are you FMer by any chance? This is their reply culte to any question on reform, corruption, theft, to2ssir...

So will we always give those 15 years of occupation as a reason? The war ended 18 years ago, the 15 years of occupation ended 3 years ago, you do not start making people pay for their drinks before building your bar. People in Lebanon rush sometimes to work, yeah they rush, why? Because the roads are shitty, because the most basic rules for building highways, tunnels, bridges, u-turns... are not applied. In the US, even if an idiot wants to cut you from the far right to enter at the far left, he can't because hundreds of meters before, you have the dividing wall. On red lights, the one going straight doesn't stand at the far right and hold the whole line behind him waiting just so he can be at the front of the line, there too, you have dividers o the streets.

No need to mention the flooding, the unbearable traffic every time there is a drop of rain....

So I am not against people respecting the rules, waiting at lights, wearing their seat belts, this is their part of the deal, but the government also has to do its part of the deal, let's drop this "15 years of war" rhetoric or else we will never ever do anything at all.

Sincerly, if we act in Lebanon as we act outside it, we would have a great country!
No justification to people acting and driving like morons. What you're referring to in your post, is someone behaving immaturely and irresponsibly.

What does it mean to yeflot? Drive like a moron? Not obey any rules? not have any common courtesy.

Your analogy is quite ironic. A Lebanese coming from France let's say, feels imprisoned in a country that's civilized, to being free in a country that's not (Lebanon).

Gives us a glimpse on how you view the Lebanese.

Why are people asking for the moon ?

The country isn't gonna turn corrupt free overnight, but at least there is some progress.

Coralie, next time why don't you get the guy's license plate are report him?

Try to get a picture too (I'm sure all of Lebanon now has an imbedded camera of 12 MPixels in his cellphone).

You're right, maybe reporting will go down the drain, but at least you would've done your job.

Report to whom ? The ministry of interior or the closest ISF casern.

As for Canada, well if you have one other witness (someone else than you) you'll win ur case :)
I know Lebanon is far from being there, but we should start somewhere non ?

hah...Lebanon... Law enforcement? not anytime soon i might say..

lol i remember one time like 4years ago, i was walking on one street in Beirut. there was 4streets with Traffic lights....ok, so there's one guy who passes a red light, the police officer blows his whistle, and told the guy that he passed a red light, the guy was like yalla yalla i'll be right back... and i was LOL, **** law corruption. i was surprised the officer didn't have the balls to go chase him. caz in Poland if u pass a Red light, either a Camera is gonna flash or Sirens are going off in a second lol

come to think of it, all the Police guys were embarresed to go out on their cars before, caz now they got the Dodge Charger they wanna show off in Public.. Seriously lol whenever im in DT Saida, and every time i see a Charger car, The lights ARE ALWAYS on and the police officer's hand is on the window, heha.. they just wanna look Cool now with their new Toys tkhayyal this is what they're thinking when they pass a large crowd "yea yea that's right haha i got a Dodge charger and you don't nana nanna naaana!"

so if u want them to all go out on the streets you better get them this:

but seriously, to get good enforcement, we gotta get more advanced Cameras on the roads(, not the ones which can be broken easily on a Driveby

and how do cops "stop" ppl here? like follow them with a car or whistle? :P

The country works from the bottom up, if you're not willing to change, than why would the people in charge do ?

One sentence took mostly my attention in the article, a problem lebanon is facing not only in this ministry
