1- Richard Kouyoumjian - Beirut 1 (He will eventually turn down his candidacy in the favor of Serge Torsarkisian)
2- Michel Salloum - Baalback Hermel (I think this is a prank or something)
3- Robert Khoury - Zahrani (Another cute prank)
4- Eddy Abi Lama - Metn (Most probably he will lose)
5- Antoine Zahra - Batroun (Tough Battle)
6- Farid Habib - Koura (Tough Battle)
7- Georges Adwan - Shouf
8- Sethrida Geagea - Bcharre
9- Elie Keyrouz - Bcharre
7,8,9 most probably a win.
I predict the LF bloc to be constituted of at least 3 and at most 4 candidates. | Guys !! I just noticed Where is "general" Wehbe Katisha ?? Ya khatishi malla 3eshi wein ra7 ? | | | | | Registered Member

The points Geagea raised are good, very good. But any hints as for how to implement them ? We have been hearing these promises since many years and in different circumstances but we are still waiting for somebody to achieve something on the ground.
Geagea presented a nice program BUT he is not sure he can implement, also he presented some candidates in Zahrani and Baalbeck BUT he knows they cannot be elected As if FPM choses candidates in Tripoli or Beirut 3, this strategy is beyond my understanding
Dear "Hakim", we need a program that CAN be implemented, and a leader that PROMISES and FULFILLS. | Dr. Geagea is being completely honest here - I wish more parties were. You can't guarantee anything until it happens. The LF has a modest program that I don't doubt they will work for. However, Dr. Geagea is letting us know that there are no promises. They will do their best and that's the best offer any party in Lebanon can give. | | | | | Administrator

9 candidates? Is the number final?
Lets pretend they win in Beirut 1, Maten, Koura, Batroun, Bchare 2 and Chouf
That's 7! Just 7? | | | | | Registered Member

Dear "Hakim", we need a program that CAN be implemented, and a leader that PROMISES and FULFILLS. | his strategy, and borrowing from the words of seek, is crystal clear, he knows that he has a small Christian support base in baalbek/hermel, which is an extension to his followers in bsharri, and he knows that he can get a big chunk of the Christian votes in bikaa, the same is true to a certain extent in zahrani. note that he avoided running in western biqaa or in jizzine. so he will end up with a twisted version of the C&R block, where even though candidates may have gotten the majority of the Christian vote, they still lost, which could arguably help him parade as the victim and try to monopolize the representation of the Christians in these areas where FPM is not having any official candidates. very simplistic & superficial thinking for an LF leader.
as to the electoral program, it is just saff 7aki, there is no real plan or no real action to carry it through, afterall they've been part of the majority these last 4 years, why didn't even attempt to push these issues forward when they had the chance? the discerning voters will see right through it, the non-discerning ones were already in biel today
that said, i couldn't help but to feel sorry for the guy, after the LF used to rule the Christian areas, and after parliament members used to wait in line at his door to see him, sg now cannot nominate more than 2 serious candidates outside bsharri.
fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony. | | | | | Registered Member

From BBC site: Bogus degree sites shut down
Several websites offering fake British degrees for up to £1,000 each have been closed down following a joint operation in the UK and US.
The certificates, from 14 made-up institutions, were used by hundreds of unqualified people, mainly in North America, to gain jobs in areas such as teaching, computing and childcare.
Among the institutions created for the websites were the University of Palmers Green, the University of Wexford and Harrington University.
The operation, run by a man and a woman, both Israeli, was based at offices in Israel, Romania and the US. It is thought to have made millions of pounds.
The bogus institutions used a drop box in Green Lanes, London, as a postal address. BBC NEWS | Education | Bogus degree sites shut down

Why Jaajaa is not running himself?

I didn't watch their festival, but i was just told that they faked few things, they used FPM images as their own images (talking about LF struggle between 1994 and 2005, knowing that they did nothing and in the few demonstrations jebnehon bi 2owe, Daniel Spiro attacked us when we raised the 1559 banners)
One of the pictures they used was actually Tony Orian in front of MTB building in Ashrafiyeh: Photo Viewer | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to X For This Useful Post: | | | | |
