We are the best when it comes to party, zalamouna when they put us in third place. Cuisine! No one can make hummus better than we can ;)

You tell him Dalzi. Gee I almost had my feelings hurt by his questioning if I am real or not. The last time I checked, I had real (albeit slightly royal) blue blood running through my veins.
It's hard to tell what those FPMers want these days. In good faith i was pandering to their patriotic streak but obviously it wasn't well received.

I am not one to let the truth cloud my judgement. Dodzi didnt like the fact the we exported civilisation. Perhaps we should have kept a bit of it as a proof but those phoenecians ancestors of ours didnt bother with lofty monuments like the Greeks and the Egyptians. The fact that there is no proof of the truth does not mean that it is not there, somewhere.

Silly me I thought people liked the fact that Beirut is a party town and all he is worried abut is decent jobs and business and the judiciary. Well I didnt make the world, it just is like this.

So we have exported our civilisation, and we're left without one.
I agree on that point... we're just a bunch of survivors whose only purpose is to join our exported civilisation outside Lebanon...

Is there electricity 24h in the preceding 15 cities?

And how about public transport?

In all other categories I don't see how Beirut would do worse...

This is really funny how media modulates minds.

5 Months ago Beirut was the number 1 destination that should be visited during the summer.

Now, we are rated, the worse worldwide,

3anjad LOL

With no running water and no electricity, I'm still surprised that Beirut made it to this rank.

Which reminds me by the way of Olmert's threat in 2006 when he said to us "We will take you back to the stone age"...Haha...Dude get real...We are already in the stone age and we don't need your help.

South-East Asian countries rank amongst the most popular countries in the world in terms of tourism. But while tourists enjoy the sun, the beaches, the cheap hotels and massages, as well as the little boys and girls, the people in these countries live on an average of 1$/day!

Not really. Life is much cheaper than it used to be, and average income has increased 3% last year, and is expected to be 7% in 2010, while inflation will grow at only 2.5%.

My concern is Beirut, and it is a shame where we are ranked. What the hell is all our debt for if it didn't increase our quality of life? Rafik exited the easy way.
