I read in haartez and jerusalm post (.com, not .co.il)... i learned Hebrew in a book and from milingua.com... and I have english-hebrew dictionary on my desktop (babylon6)...I'm well acquainted with Israeli politicians... I know about the Israeli foreign affairs... Settlement policy secrets... and even the policy controlling the use of nuclear weapons, the conditions israel must resort to use nuclear weapons... Military weapons, deals, at which age they teach settlers' children how to fight and know their arab enmy in schools... interior affairs, the problems inside the country, racism among jews, crime rate,... sects of Jews inside Israel... I memorized quotes from the Torah, and other invocations... this is knowledge... and this how you know your enemy..

If you want to know your enemy, better know't like this, or watch "2i3rif 3adowwak" newtv...

Not in parliament.. what the hell the parliamentarians will learn... they give courses in what they know about Israel...

I agree with Jade on this (as usual).

Actually, the electoral system used in Israel is one that may be effective in Lebanon, if we ever get around to reforming our laws. They use proportional representation, but with a low threshold (I think 2% or something). We would probably want to set it higher.

But a single nation-wide electoral district is worth exploring, imho.

Its an interesting point, one that has little to do with the israeli-arab conflict and evry much to do with how each country treats its citizens.

1- If youve been abroad you probably have encountered manyarab-speaking israelis. And it probably sucked that they could speak hebrew and you wouldnt know **** from what theyre saying, but they can understand everything you say. Whos the more powerful then...

2- Some talk about enemies and israel is our enemy. Arent arabs Israel's enemy? and hasnt Israel successfully for a century defeated that enemy? How come Israel has freedoms as well as encouragement for its citizens to elarn as much as they can?

3- Lets say Hezballah or a member of it wants to learn about how the Knesset works. Which they probably do. How come they can and should, and i cant?

4- Doesnt Manar air programs that present stuff from israeli society and media and how it works and its problems? How come that is allowed?

The information we get to know has to be selectively filtered. We know what others want us to know and nothing more.

Its ebcause lebanon and arab countries treat their citizens and SUPPORTERS as worthless sheep and numbers not as individuals and valuable human beings.

Israel goes to wars over a corpse and we turn a blind eye to thousands in prison or dead when it suits us.

Even if we defeat Israel militarily we will fail at our own future after.
