Lebanese Parliament Pulls from Circulation CDs with Info on Knesset
Parliament is investigating the distribution of CDs with information on the Israeli Knesset to Lebanese lawmakers, An Nahar newspaper reported Friday.
The daily said that the CDs have as much as possible been withdrawn from circulation.

The CDs include information on parliaments in the world, including the Knesset. They had been distributed to Lebanese legislators along with the "Guide for MPs" booklet prepared by the United Nations Development Program in cooperation with the programs and information bureau in parliament.

When they say the parliament banned it ?
Who is target here ?

listen darling Jade, I don't yet understand your stance on FPM I'm still new... but Israel is our enemy... Real Enemy... not just in media... and this is what you do with real enemies.... I'm wondering if the Armenian Parliament would collect data on the Turkish Parliament... or the Israeli Parliament on the Iranian... or the Indian on the Pakistani....

if Israel is our real enemy these mistakes shouldn't happen in the first place... and if so.... there must be an investigation... if we respect ourselves... or don't we?

the most dangerous enemy is ignorance, and i think this is what the Parliament is trying to do, turn us ingorants

by the way, almost all the Lebanese travel or know people who travel, so believe me it is not hard to get any book from amazon

Absolutely true in case of knowing beneficial things.... but for parliament, there are countless number of parliaments in the world we can learn about... but not the Kenesset.... we don't need to know...

My guess is that it does as an appeasement to Hizbullah, a party to which it owes a large number of its parliamentary bloc. So what? It isnt like HA is putting demands on them all the time and an occasional favour might reap it some benefits in the future.

If your approach to this is from a freedom of speech angle I dont think it suits you to feign naivety.

Furthermore, if you think our own parliament is interested in learning more and now they are deprived of a chnace, there couldnt be anything further from the truth. It isnt like it's either a serious parliament or an intellectual centre. It's just a mere assembly of tribe's chiefs. Wlek the country lived without it for 16 months and no one noticed the difference, the country nearly got thrown into a civil war and not one deputy bothered to call for a meeting. Like I said many times, chop off the heads of 120 of those parliamentarians and I guarantee you the public would not notice anyone's absence.

Dont forget that the Knesset is a real parliament and it represents the israelis whereas ours does represent us, no doubt about that, but it is not a real parliament. Just a club that thinks it's important. so too much knowledge may be detrimental to their heath even in the unlikely possibility that they bother to read anything to begin with.
