Sweetheart, all those you speak of are from Bcharreh, Deir el Ahmar, Inata, Zgharta, Akkar and Tripoli. All those I listed are not battleground areas, so the votes from Sydney won't change anything in the equation. In addition, most of those don't even have Lebanese ID cards, since they were not registered at the consulate. Too bad eh?

This is excellent news if true. They should have their rights. Those who are talking about Sydney most are from the north (tripoli, akkar, bsharri, zgharta, koura).

Very mistaken honey. There are over 6000 Australians from our "little" village in the south, and most are what you described above ;).

Yes, you can say "from those he knows", in the end "qulli man tu3asher, 2aqul laka man 2ant". It's obvious from his posts that these are the only people he hangs out with. And those he's talking about are clueless about Lebanon, when their parents die, the memories die with them. They are pure Aussies, never will return or live there. Tell me abou it.

Back to the topic, it's an international thing, why do we always have to be the odd ones out? Bring it on, it's our rights as Lebanese to vote wherever we are. The only concern however would be the "supporting terrorist" heresy they could slam us with...

I'd say 95% of Lebanese living in diaspora won't give a **** about voting.

Those that will give a ****, will only increase the number of votes that take place in various cazas, but the % won't change.

For example,

Area one has 10,000 voters
Party A wins 8,000
Party B gets 2,000

Now they include overseas votes
Party A wins 16,000
Party B gets 4,000

Percentage is still 80% v.s. 20% and the people who were voted in were going to be elected whether there was or wasn't outside voting.

I have posted this somewhere else and I will post it again (for Venom and the guys). GMA told me this few days ago, it affected me a lot, I felt sad and at the same time very proud of him. He said "I am working and fighting to get the expats to vote, so that they vote against me".

GMA is a one of a kind lebanese patriot
and he wanted to show that regardless of who wins or lose, he is working for lebanon.
i can say about my area, NIGERIA.
christian wise , we beat them 70-30, and if u remove the northern factor, we beat them 90-10.

1-benin republic
2-cote divoir
3-seralione ( small community though)
