I live in MI and just 10 minutes from the Detroit event, I was a big supporter for Tayyar but unfortunately I am completely disappointing by naming someone like Rami to be in Charge of the Tayyar group in Detroit. I am not going to this event and I know that at least 6 of my friends are not going neither. Bad Choice for Tayyar in MI

Likewise... Completely disapointed they chose NJ instead of NY... I will not go and stop shaving to have a saksouke... ;-)

Seriously, while I can understand you might be disapointed by some actions / decisions, I would encourage you to step back and look at the big picture... Is your disapointment with Rami (whomever he is) more important that June 7th election? Heck, I'm considering the possibility to cross the Hudson for something else than going to the Newark Airport... That must be worth something... You can let that Rami story go for a couple of weeks!!..

No way... Just checked the directions... More than 40 miles into "Mainland" NJ. You definitely need a car to go there (which I don't have).

Seriously, why not something in Manhattan or Brooklyn? Plenty of Lebanese there too... (I bet more than in Jersey anyway)

and i am really disappointed to see your affection and commitment to FPM & Lebanon at this critical stage is based on who's running the office in Detroit!

You can forward you complain and make your voice heard...

Imagine that for every FPMr some doesn't like than others stop their commitment.

I don't like many FPM personal as well but that wouldn't stop me from working and being commited.

If you don't like Rami, why don't you get involved, do a better job than him, and then take his place. That's a lot more productive than sitting on the sidelines and complaining. Rami seems to have done a great job so far by getting something organized. He sure does have a great "can do" attitude, which is exactly what we need among our activists in the US.

Those complainig about locations. . . sorry guys, that's the best we could do. Time constraints did not allow us to have two events, one in NJ and another in NY. Driving, taking the subway, the train or the bus might not be the best option, but these things are not always the most convenient things given that we are trying to reach out to the largest number of members of the community all over the US with so little time and money. Please try to go to the closest event to you. Ohio folks, please try to attend the Detroit event.

I am very social and go a lot of places and I have yet to meet more than handful FPMers in NYC
