He was also testifying in front of the American Congress in favor of the Syrian Accountability Act in 2003. Given the circumstances, a meeting with Mossad is plausible.
The timing of the article is suspect, but in the world of international politics what goes around comes around.

Remember during the war in july 2006, they tried to put wrong words in the mouth of general Aoun. However, tayyar.org immediately published a disclaimer followed by the publication of the entire AUDIO file of the interview! It is irrelevant whether he met with them during the war. I would say it was highly unlikely since, at the time, GMA was meeting with Saddam's men in an effort to pressure the Syrians. However, the possibility that he did meet Mossad is still there.

Nothing new: General Aoun was a mossad agent according to Hariri & Joumblatt back in the days of the exile, now he is a Syrian agent according to the same men... Tomorow maybe he will be a Cuban or Venezuelian tool against Lebanon's liberal economy.

As far as I am concerned, he can meet anyone and everyone because it doesn't matter with whom a Lebanese leader meets... it only matters who that Lebanese leader is. Carte Blanche when it's Aoun. Only good things come out every time Aoun has a meeting.
