Resistance
Before HA exists, LCP was the Lebanese resistance against the Israelis. Go and ask about the party who fought the Israelis in Beirut and forced them to retreat. Then they followed them to the south and continued to fight them.
The most remarkable and bravery operations were done by LCP members.

Representation
You will be amazed about the representation of the LCP on the Lebanese level. You can find them in north, bekaa, south, mountains, etc.
They exist on all Lebanese soil but LCP does not represent anymore Lebanese communists.

Why they are always bashed ???
The Syrian fought them and assassinated many of them with collaboration with some political parties.
They were fought and assassinated during many years.Every one fears uncontrollable and free people who are against the Lebanese feudal lords and the economical policy of governments such Hariri governments, and who can't be manipulated using the religious factor, etc.
Go and ask about the first party to promote a complete program to make Lebanon a secular country

In addition who will ally to a left party in a country where the politics are done by liberal parties that don't care about people rights and uses the religious factor to dominate

Shuyu3i exaggerated a little bit ! LCP will have its MP once the elections are done on one district, and when the lebanese will stop considering their religion before their citizenship.

regardless of all the other stuff, the cp is right about that 1960 law. and for once, at least one party took a stance on sectarianism, even if it cost them the one seat they could have gotten from ha if they had complied.

that is not only heroic, but it will turn out to be an omen to the opposition even if it should win. this is the first party seceding from the opposition alliance. mark my words, you will see some more of it after the elections, and it could well go to the bone of 2aunist movement itself.

LCP objectives are not against the military hit of Syria ?? where did you got that ?? they are against any military actions against any arab country.

Their main objectives are a secular lebanon and people's right to have a decent life. If they oppose Hariri, that don't put them in 8 of march.

They don't need 8 march compassion and they are stick to their convictions like the one concerning the electoral law.

Once LCP will be let alone, you will see the rise of a modern socialist party.
