GMS has acquired a decent halo of power around him as he was named a concensus president and Hariri and his lackeys tried to attract him in order to create someone to face FPM in the next elections..

however, recent events like the presidential speech, the POW's release speech, the visit to the killed army officer and now that clearly reveal where GMS is standing.. on the side of FPM rather than Hariri...

as such I see FPM actually getting stronger rather than weaker... with GMS standing next to FPM, the dreams of Hariri facing FPM in Jbeil and Keserwan disappear..

واتهمت "المستقبل" عون بالتباخل بلقب شهيد للضابط الطيار النقيب سامر حنا، في حين يسجل لـ"حزب الله" وصفه المغدور بأنه "شهيد للجيش وللمقاومة" "أما عون فلم يجد ما هو أكثر لباقة من وصف حنا بأن هناك ضحية وقعت وقد سلّم الجاني الى القضاء على حدّ تعبير الصحيفة الأكثرية!
وخلصت "المستقبل" إلى إعلان تضامنها التام مع جريدة "لوريان لوجور" واستنكارها تدخل العماد عون في قضية مفترض ان "لا ناقة له فيها أو جمل". وسألت العماد عون كيف علم ان الشهيد حنا لم يقتل غيلة ولا بدم بارد ولا عن سابق تصور وتصميم، ومن الذي استبق التحقيق يومها؟ اليس أولئك الذين رموا المؤسسة العسكرية ككل بتهمة "سوء التنسيق"؟.

It is not what you say, it is who says it.

Hariri/Joumbi/LF wa tawabi3ouhoum has been attacking everything GMA says since 3 years at least now. Whether black or white, left or right, they just are their to bash him. The goal we all know it, make him loose the most support possible in order to remove him from their way.

When it comes to Hezballah, GMS has had this position longer than GMA. So im not sure you can say hes coming to GMAs side, i think GMS considers it a continuation of his own positions which hes had since day one.

As for political alliances concerning the president. itd be smart for both GMA and GMS to ally or at least not fight, however they will only do so because they have to, not because they want to.
