If this turns out to be true, Kataeb will have 13 candidates. According to statistics, not all of them are going to win.
On the other hand, C&R have NOW 21 MPs. According to statistics, the 21 are going to increase.

GMA's popularity has been on the decline for 4 years now. Apparently none of the ex-FPMers are turning kataebists, they must be all converting to ouwwet, Bon and Roger Eddeh

this is my personal opinion about each Kataebi candidate and the district he is running in. what do you think?

هرباً من مواجهة ميشال عون في المناطق المسيحية. قائد القوات يحاول إصطياد 3 عصافير بحجر واحد

مارون ناصيف - ليس من باب الصدفة أن يُبعد رئيس الهيئة التنفيذية في القوات اللبنانية حزبه عن الدوائر الإنتخابية التي تشهد معارك مباشرة مع لوائح رئيس تكتل التغيير والإصلاح العماد ميشال عون، وليس بهذه السهولة أيضاً قبل جعجع أن يكون هذا الإقصاء القواتي من المناطق المسيحية لمصلحة حزب الكتائب و"الشيخ أمين" الذي يربطه به صراع عسكري سياسي تقليدي منذ الثمانينيات.
فكرم جعجع الزائد البارز في التنحي ترشيحاً عن غالبية المقاعد في دوائر جبل لبنان وبعض الدوائر الأخرى يحمل تفسيرات ثلاث بحسب الكثير من المراقبين الذين إعتبروا أن قائد القوات يحاول إصابة ثلاثة عصافير بحجر واحد:

الأول، وهو عدم وضع مرشحي القوات وهم بغالبيتهم من الأسماء المغمورة نتيجة سياسة جعجع القمعية داخل الحزب، بمواجهة مباشرة في أي من الدوائر مع مرشحي التيار الوطني الحر، إذ أن خسارة اللائحة التي يترأسها قواتي في جبيل أو كسروان أو المتن أو بعبدا أو جزين (على إعتبار أن القوات لا يمكنها أن تترأس أي لائحة في البترون والكورة والمتن الشمالي) تحتم سقوط مشروع القوات السياسي في المناطق المسيحية، فكيف لو كان هذا السقوط هو للوائح تضم كتائبيين ومستقلين مدعومين من القوات قبل السابع من حزيران، وسرعان ما تنفي القوات أي علاقة لها بهؤلاء المستقلين بعد السابع من حزيران؟

التفسير الثاني يرتبط مباشرة بخسارة مرشحي الكتائب وهي التي تعني كثيراً بالنسبة الى قائد القوات الذي طالما سعى تاريخياَ الى إلغاء ما يسمى بالكتائب وأحداث عام 1988 بين الطرفين خير دليل الى ذلك.

أما التفسير الثالث فهو خروج جعجع من إستحقاق السابع من حزيران منتصراً بعد إختياره لمرشحين في دوائر يعتبر البعض أن المنافسة الإنتخابية فيها شبه معدومة نظراً لقوة تيار المستقبل والحزب التقدمي الإشتراكي وما يثبت ذلك هو ترشيح جعجع لكل من وهبه قاطيشا في عكار سعياً وراء حجز موقعه على لائحة النائب سعد الدين الحريري، جورج عدوان في الشوف على لائحة النائب وليد جنبلاط، وفريد حبيب في الكورة الى جانب مرشحي تيار المستقبل فريد مكاري ونقولا غصن، فضلاً عن الترشيح غير المحسوم لأنطوان زهرا في البترون والترشيحين المنطقيين للقوات في بشري.

عرض مفصل لواقع الترشيحات القواتية يظهر بما لا يقبل الشك على ماذا يراهن جعجع في إنتخابات السابع من حزيران ويكشف حساباته الضيقة داخل البيت القواتي – الكتائبي، ولكن السؤال الذي يطرحه الكثير من القواتيين اليوم، هل يدرك رئيس الهيئة التنفيذية مدى الإنعكاس السلبي لهذا الأمر على واقع القوات التي إنضوت تحت لواء المستقبل – الإشتراكي منذ قرر قائدها تقديم الكثير في السياسة لحلفائه الذين أخرجوه من سجن وزارة الدفاع بقانون العفو؟

By the way, if Elie Karami is truly going to be a Kataebi candidate in Metn, I think FPM should reconsider its candidates there. Abou Nader would be the perfect counter candidate IMO.

And if they're really lucky, Elie Karame and Sejaa Kazzi.
