OMG, now you're comparing Joumana to a certain politician just because of what she said about Hezbollah? hehe

I frankly concur with every word she said about Hezbollah to be honest.

What Joumana wrote here doesn't necessarily mean that she's jumping ship. I have to assume that you along the majority here know that what Joumana wrote in regards to Hezbollah is true, and frankly I applaud her courage.

You have to understand that "some people" can not be captivated by one party sphere, even though they happen to agree with the party on many issues, but rather they feel the urge to speak out and relay their thoughts when it is deemed necessary. In that instance, voicing her opinion about Hezbollah was just in my view and many others I assume.

Come on gents! give this lady a break. Welcome back Joumana.

you miss the point,
i have no problem at all with what she said about Hezbollah. it's her point
of view and i do respect that even if i don't agree with it. i do have
a problem with the general trend of her writings which has changed
after 2008 for some unknown and unexplained reason.
a lot of details are missing which could help explaining
why she was arrested(the real reasons not Baria Ahmar bickering)

I fully agree with you; if she's asking for our sympathy and support, she must be innocent, and to make sure that she is, we need to know the whole true story with the detailed facts so that we can formulate our judgement accordingly.

So just because I am backing her point of view I then became a dishonest fella? Thank you for the wisdom and honesty certificate. This has made my day.

personally, i am in no position to judge if she is innocent and will not judge
anyone. all that i wanted to say is :
if it really is a matter of freedom of speech, i surely support her but i am
not sure that it is ONLY regarding freedom of speech
as some people may want to lead me to believe. that is all.

Fellas, let's not divert this thread into "useless" debate and let's just wish Joumana to get well because she has been trough some of the toughest times that many of you including me have not even experienced.

Let's not turn this thread into a trial and I don't think it is very kind to beat on these issues and forget the sufferings that Joumana has endured. Obviously, her release is a sign of innocence for those who still have doubts. She has stood by FPM on many issues and many that I happen to not agree with personally but I don't let this distract me from the human side of me.

A mother, a University professor, a thinker, and a treasure to our Lebanese society. It is shameful that she had to undergo such torture. Please join me and others to reject this unhumane treatment because it could be any of us. This lady had the courage to speak up and she paid the price for it wrongfully. No country in the world that respects its own laws would do that. There are trials and legal processes for those sort of issues.

Again, please cut this young lady a break.
