That is the gist of it, it's happening to others but not necessarily in the same way. | What was she falsely charged with? Would be interesting to see the techniques they use and how far their creativity could go?
Also when you say "some people pulled some strings", were these people acting in some form of Mafia affiliation or more to do with political affiliation. I am trying to see what's wrotten here, is it more the Mafia attitude or more the Political drive that lead to dictatorship | | | | | Registered Member

So to make it clear ya joumana you need to explain
1-What were you charged with and not why you think you were arrested.
2-Why were you released for what you were charged with.
After explaining those points you can later tell us why you think you were arrested and if it was for no reason at all and if the securty apparatus can actually throw people in jail for no reason then i need to understand how you got out if nobody backed you.

* The Army, Hizbullah has transformed into an army which was evident in its Beirut’s invasion. The Hizbullah army tried to confront the Lebanese army while taking over Beirut, but the Lebanese army refused to get involved. Hizbullah at that moment considered the Lebanese army has surrendered and peacefully took over it. As soon as Hizbullah has taken over a new sector it handed it to the Lebanese army but also left its army. This was the same case during the Syrian Occupation of Lebanon, the Lebanese army received orders from the Syrian Army as it is now receiving orders from Hizbullah. Only a real army is aware of POW exchange and treatment under Geneva Convention § 4 which was evident during Hizbullah’s war on Lebanon in May 2008. Back in the 80s Hizbullah used to mistreat the POWs but now that it transformed to an army with a complete apparatus (Network, Weapons, 200.000 trained) it has become a state over the Lebanese state.
Hizbullah has taken Lebanon hostage since May 2008. So far the world has been trying to smooth its language toward what really occurred in Lebanon. No one wants to get involved or to admit that the Lebanese people are living under a new Occupation: The Wilayat Al Fakih. Even the government is living in denial and is unable to be honest to the Lebanese people.

to Hizbullah: Remove your weapons and PROVE TO US THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO WORK FOR LEBANON THROUGH POLITICS, MINISTRIES, and MPs, through projects and not guns and blabla, and stop hiding behind empty slogans like Israel wants to kill us, or we are the deprived, or we do not have any rights in this country, we are second degree citizens. IT DOESNT WORK ANYMORE!! Tell Hizbullah that they should stop their self-victimization and become good big boys!!! Let them start acting and showing us they can be socialized and part of this country instead of isolating themselves and first step is disarm IMMEDIATELY and begin fulfilling ministerial projects

I regret to say many of us are missing the big picture while others know exactly what’s going on and playing their game. I tried to be fair and balanced by posting what she wrote May 16 2009 which is the most important evidence of her transformation and possibly the main reason she became a target. Unfortunately, my post was deleted and the truth remained half known although I used the same source others are using above and still standing. I’m not here to defend Joumana, she can do a better job defending her self now that she’s a free woman but I don’t like to be taken for a sucker by someone taking things out of context and ignoring the latest events. That’s old style misleading politics. So, let me try again for the sake of truth and fairness: 16/05/09 116/05/09 6/05/09 161 After 3 years in Lebanon I have come to witness the US intervention in the life of the lebanese ya ***** and am very sad to say that ***** was not lying to us. all 14 7mar are dogs of the US who only are working for their interests in the region and using the Lebanese politician puppets like those of 14 7mar. I cannot accept it nor can I accept the iranin intervention or Syrian one. No one is working to build ONE country, ONE people. Further I totally diasgree voting for immature kids like Nadim, Samy (the biggest liar and actor worse than his father), Nayla ghanoujet jedda or other kids like Micho Mouawd etc. They speak about intikhebet mafsalye but are too immature and candidste themselves to face Hizballa/ Shou hal maskhara/ Not even solange did anything against all bombardments in ashrafieh how will Nadim be able to? The whole candidacy is a joke just like the elections. Lebanese are doomed because no one is serving their interests for real, no one wants to take care of the Lebanese social life, social security, emplyment, medical health, it is all khedme hon w khedme hon la ysawetlo and all dogs of some country. 3ayb and enough, the Lebanese are obliged to vote for someone la2an khadamon, shou hal maskhara? The politicians are playing the cards of some foreign country, shou hal maskhara The US fet7etlon maketeb bitdarebon shou badon y2oulo la Samy w Nadim w ila akhirihi min hal candidates just to face Hizballah, w ba3den? Which country are we building? Dawlet el mazere3 it is enough and it is not acceptable Of course I will not vote for Samy as a metnist and will vote for the FPM, ba3don ashraf bi alf mara min l kataeb l zo3ran, wlek ya 3ayb l shoum ma t3alamo chi w ba3don zo3ran w bala akhle2, while some candidates of FPM did great work like Gibran Bassil, he really did a great job, sar fina netnafass! what did the candidates of 14 7mar do? nothing except stealing stealing stealing madem tswar enno bil wizaret bi jibo l ness w ma byedfa3oulon la2an bikhefo yotlbo min l sanioura massare... mich 3eyb? shou l ness sone3 3endon? w baa3d fi akhbar ktire, w ma3 kil kerhe la 3akidet hizballah w 3adam i7tiramon lal tofl wla 72ou2 l ensen, ba3don ashraf min l kataeb wel ouwet li ma bye7termo 7ada wala 7ata 7elon, wlak kleb edem l snioura, kleb... ma byefta7o temon edem jounblatt w bikhefo ma ymarek chi amerkene 3layon, shou hal maskhara? 3ayb wlo, ktir heyk... mich bass ma kharjon l 7ikem, hol ma kharjon y3isho bi hal balad, yrou7o 3a amerka w yekhrbouwa w yray7ouna menon, takhanouwa! Hardly a neutral viewpoint.
im all for someone freely expressing their opinions, but i cant stand anyone with hypocritical, schizophrenic political viewpoints. so she decides to go public when she has a run-in with the law? sorry, im not impressed. she's no hero. nor, for that matter, is she the first person to be arrested for "valiantly" exercising free speech. | | | | | Registered Member
