who is wafi' ch'eir?

I can't even begin to understand why we're even debating this question here... Some people have really short memories...

We have great managers in this country (ok, maybe not in FPM given how the party is run)... I don't see a need to have Sayyed in Yarze

If he really "repented", then great, let him provide advice to the new M of D

And by the way, the key "organizational" post is that of "directeur de cabinet", not the minister her/himself. So you want to bring someone who is very strong to "reorganize" the MoD, make that person the Dir Cab, and put an honest and strong willed minister...

Yes, why not Jumblatt or Geagea as minister of state in charge with Human rights affairs ?

Anyway, I've always heard Sayyed was a great administrator, hence very capable of holding a high administrative position. Even in L'Orient le Jour they admitted it...

Though, I don't think that story is really serious. Just another slap, among others, I guess (but the thing is that it would deeply hurt FPM).

I can't believe there are so many FPMers who are actually supporting Jamil Sayyed for the Defense ministry.

Guys come on! Not only do half the FPMers hate that guy, and we might lose even more support than during the 4 years that passed, but we might indefinitely look like traitors!

I think whoever is actually supporting that thought is an extremist and a sheep!

The extremist could be any who follows his hate ya dodzi!! Aslan, supporting Sayyed or not doesn't bring anything new to that issue because aslan, this portfolio will be 80% for Wafic Jezzini!!

But let me tell you one more thing: I can better see Jamil Sayyed in Defense than an LFer in Justice... and we accepted it!! Labnéno w 3ayyno!! 3a ellit lli labnannéhoun!!

in negotiations we always ask for the maximum to get the minimum, and HA are good negotiators, they negotiated Israel for the prisoners many times and they got what they want, they know the art of negotiations.
so if it is true, maybe they are insisting for defense to Jamil Sayyed in order to get something else.

In politics you can't follow your emotions, you must follow your interests.

I already told you!
If he does to the Defense what he did to the GS, we will all be more than satisfied!

I really hope this is untrue!
This would be one of the most saddening things to hear if it's true, instead of trying to make Lebanon move forward and enter a fresher era, we'll keep having officials and ministers employed from the darker eras? How many people suffered from Jamil el Sayyed? He is not a patriot, he was brutal and he made alot of Lebanese suffer for the sake of foreign systems, which Lebanese with a conscience would help torture his fellow citizens for the sake of power and money? No matter how capable or organized he was in leading institutions, he is also capable and organized in leading crimes, so if someone is a criminal, he deserves power just because he is clever and has abilities, overlooking their criminal tendencies? Also I'm against the concept of placing him as a minister for the sake of nkeyet, nkeyet will not move us forward ;S
