Tsedek,
Unfortunately, you are right when you say that there is nothing called "easy war" and that war ends up mostly destroying people.
But if Israel decided to unleash once again a full scale war on Lebanon, like in July 2006, I'm afraid that the scale of destruction will reach from both sides, an unprecedented level.
You might have noticed in my sentence above that the key word to understand, is "from both sides".
Israelis never faced war so-far and I doubt that it could be easy to make them really understand, what the word "war" means.
All the words and definitions that i can use are not enough to describe it. Talking about war or picturing it or viewing atrocities on TV, is nothing compared to living it...and dying in it, and seeing the friends and families and all the beloved ones dying before your eyes too.
The hundreds of 1 ton smart bombs that Israel usually drop on the heads of civilians in our cities, will this time be faced by thousands of 500 kilos explosives heads rockets on your cities.
I don't know if it is enough to describe the situation here, but it means a total destruction of whole cities. And this is no threat. This is real and present.
Just as a figure for you to imagine it, just ask yourself how much time can you live in a shelter (if you're lucky enough to find a decent one), without electricity, water, food and under heavy bombardment, not knowing who will be the next to die, in a country totally destroyed with an infrastructure totally destroyed with an economy totally destroyed.
We live the Dresden nightmare each time that Israel decides to attack us. This time, you can be sure that Israel will live much more than the Dresden nightmare.
Is that really what the Israeli people want?
Is it worth it?
Is there anything worth it?
Our goal and cause is to defend ourselves...We seek our survival from total annihilation and extermination. What's Israel's goal and cause in this?
Time for the Israeli citizen to think of it quietly but deeply, for this time, there will be no more red lines and no more restraints.
And only one side will survive it...And it takes much more than jets to win such war.
I wish from all my heart that a war will never happen again...But you have to realize that you live in a warmongering society. If not, then today is the best time for your civil society to move and work even harder and kick out those crazy generals ruling your nation...For at some point, they will lead it to a total destruction.
ps: Welcome back :)
