Default I wonder why... - 6th November 2009

Recently Walid bek Jumblat insulted all the christians and especially the maronites... later Jouzou did the same thing with even more radicalism...
no one from 14 March said anything or even made us think that he is not happy about it.

Then came the patriarch, he took sides, he ignored half of the christians if not more, and indirectly insulted the general...

In this case, the general had to stand up for himself and for whom he represents, and he replied back...

The same people who said nothing when all of us were insulted, all the christians in Lebanon were insulted, out of nowhere, for no obvious reason, those people stood beside one old guy defending his inability to apply the most important christian beliefs which are love, charity, forgiveness, acceptance...

I stopped wondering and I am disgusted from the situation we are in, from the hopelessness I find in many 14 M followers... when you have one bad apple in a box, you throw it out, but when you have half of the box bad, what do you do in this case...

Delavega,

Welcome to the group!

Joumblatt perfectly said it: el mwarni jins 3atel

If the [] in Bkerke Me3rab and Bikfaya had a shroud of decency then... wait a minute, they don't! My whole point is moot.

Welcome to the forum, Delavega.

Regarding Jouzou's flagrant insults and the Feb 14 Christians response, or lack thereof, you need to keep in mind that Feb 14's life support is Saudi Arabia's petrodollars and by extension, their domestic lackeys, one of which is Jouzou. The one and only real leader of Feb 14 is Hariri, another Saudi, so as the saying often goes, dont bite the hand that feeds you. Unfortunately Patriarch Sfeir seems to have become the latest beneficiary of Saudi Arabia's copious funds so his glaring silence regarding Jouzou can be less baffling, I suppose.

Now, the reason why the Feb 14 Christians dont dare utter a word against Jumblatt for his repeated defamation of Maronites is because, to put it bluntly, they lack balls. Mind you, this precisely applies to their supporters as well, who conveniently go into hiding any time something like this comes up. They were so keen to maintain this facade of Feb 14 unity when in truth it was merely a fragmented movement from the get-go . How could the LF for example insult Jumblatt when one of their 5 MPs was running on Jumblatt's election ticket? When you're number of MPs could be counted on one hand, 5 sounds a hell of a lot more than 4, so I suppose their rationale is justified.

The Feb 14 Christians are hindered by their own fascist ideologies that fail to gain popular support on their own merits and must instead rely upon civil tension and sectarian schisms to stay afloat. They are the epitome of cowardice, gutlessness, subordination, and third fiddle citizens.

I can hear the Patriarch's barking right now if somebody remotely related to anything Shiite says a fraction of what Joumblatt and Bozo Jozo said. Then it will become an attack on Lebanon's existence and Lebanon's Arabism, and wilayat el faqih is going to kill us all!

No need to wonder why.

Thx all for the welcome

I didn't want to say it but hiptanaka beat me to it :) it is kind of spooky what Sayegh does at the beginning of every month in Bkirki!? Is Sfeir really having two Gods, the allmighty and the saoudi dollars?

I also wanted to add that the same approach, the disproportionality used by Sfeir and 14M regarding the insults to us and to HIM, was also used recently to defend an adjective. The patriarch had the adjective "the glory of leb was given to him". When this was "taken" by a chiite and given to the martyrs, (bi ghadd il nazar iza sa7 aw la2) they made a big fuss about it.
On the other hand when, on a daily basis, first degree jobs are taken from christians and given to sunnis, youth are taken away from their lands either to go to beirut or to leave the country, small businesses are not allowed to survive, agriculture is not protected in order not to annoy the arab countries they are indebted to... the president authorities were taken in taef and attacked everyday by future followers... the simple right of voting is taken from us with all the demographic transfer/engineering... just to name a few.

All of this doesn't bother them or Sfeir, but god forbids someone takes an adjective, they will unite to fight him in the name of christianity!...
