Honestly to the person who started this thread.....M14ers dont care about history. They dont care if Syria re-enters the country. They do as their told. Sickening but true. Our brother and sister Christians just stand there like puppets. they are tools to Saad. Ketayeb and LF hhave no strategy or goals. They might have personal goals but I guess their followers dont see it. One day it is going to hit them, hit them bad. Funny thing is we always tell them it is going to happen.............good topic too bad people started talking about random stuff again.

History repeats itself but not from 2005.

When June 8th came, it took us back to 1992. And the next period will be similar to the 1992 to 2004. The details:

0- In a nutshell, the country will be governed by the regional powers (Syria+KSA) with international blessing

1- 7ariri will:
a- lead the government in general
b- will set the economical agenda and blowing up the debt (3alf el dayn)
c- use its political power to increase its financial power and vice-versa
d- use christian pawns to show its inclusive side
e- control the presidency
f- turn a blind eye with respect to the Hizballah weapon
g- stop any reform projects (especially to the judiciary system)
h- deprive the Lebanese people from the basics (electricity, water,...)
2- Jumblat will continue to be the parasite sucking the blood from Hariri and the country in general.

3- Berri will be the Shiite cover for the government and will get his cut.

4- Hizbollah will:
a- turn a blind eye on the bad government and corruption
b- keep to its weapons and increase the arsenal
c- get ready for the next Israeli war

5- Jins 3atil (long list including religious figures) will
a- be drunk with the victory of screwing up Michel Aoun's plans
b- blame Michel Aoun when they realize that they are marginalized by Sa3d
c- call for federalism and pray for Israel to interfere

6- As for the General, I am not sure :-( He is unpredictable and uncontrollable as was described by the US administration. How much can he do with 27 deputies in a country that knows nothing about accountability and a people that adores its butchers. Actually, I am looking forward to his speech on Wednesday.

In summary, the country will be back to the Syrian status quo of the 1990s.
Moreover, it will be ready for another round of internal war whenever the Americans instruct Jumblat to tell us that the car bombs came from Da7yi.

The good news:
They will no longer accuse the opposition as pro Syrian.
GMA will be able to sleep at night like a baby while Sha3ba Lubnan el habal wondering why life is so tough.
Hey, we are such generous people. We love to pay our electric, water, and telephone bills twice. We are so ******* confused we don’t know if we Arabs or Europeans but we certainly know we are the ones who invented democracy and the alphabet. Just a minute, I take it back, democracy and Christianity were invented by the Americans… I think…
What do you think?

I keep hearing about this 1960 Law as the reason for the defeat. Why, O' Why would Aoun have pushed for the 1960 Law after May 2008 if it would cost him the election?

Anyone has any doubts that it was the shiite votes that made FPM win in Baabda?

Hikmat Dib VS Gharyos :
Maronite: 10943 vs 10936
Orthodox: 729 vs 406
Catholique: 352 VS 454
Moukhtalef Massihi 2990 vs 3406

Total Christian: 15014 vs 15202
Alin Aoun VS Bou Assi
Maronite: 11027 vs 10831
Orthodox: 625 vs 378
Catholique: 357 VS 456
Moukhtalef Massihi 2989 vs 3261

Total Christian: 14998 vs 14926

Just to say that LF, Kataeb, Dory Chamoun, Gharyos whith all his noufouz got in Christian votes as FPM
So 50% of Christian support GMA
and 12.5% support LF
12.5% support Kataeb
12.5% support Dory
12.5% support Edmond gharyous

ONCE AGAIN, this is NOT true. There is a category called moukhtalaf tawa2ef. If you want the total in the shiite category: 18000. (there is 34 000 on the laweyi7 shateb. Total in the druze category: 10 000 (24 000 on laweyi7 shateb). Total in the sunni category: 1600 (8 000 on lawei7 chateb).

This means that there is alot of Druze and Sunni in the moukhtalaf category. So most of the 8500 we got in the moukhtalaf category are Christians. While a big part of the 9500 they got in the same category are Druze/Sunni!
