I was just giving the correct number of voters, the number released by the different electoral machines suggest FPM's list got less christian votes than the other list, anyway the official breakdown of votes by sect is not out yet.

I don't know what's this thread is about, but yes history is about to repeat itself. It's so ironic that we're almost back to the same exact situation as 2005, except that Aoun has less bargaining power (because he can no longer claim to represent 70% of the Christians, he pushed for this electoral law, and M14 Christians have gained some real representation).

Instead of agreeing on an interpretation of the Constitution at Doha, all of them made a cheap deal that lasted for a year. We're back again to square one, and maybe we'll have another bayen wizari, another claim for veto power, more closure of the parliament, more veto power nagging, Doha 2...etc. This country is a joke.

FPM won Keserwen and Jezzine with christian votes, it barely got 1 or 2% more of the christian votes than the other list in jbeil and for Baabda march 14th got more christian votes so if you want to consider that March 14th won Zahle b/c of the sunni vote at least admit that your list won Baabda b/c of the shiite vote
MaKhassak.

We have 27 MPs. We never sold our soul to the devil. We never betrayed our country. We do not answer to loyalists, knowing well what evil they represent. I only pity the ignorant sould who know not what they do or follow.

In Keserwan GMA won against all parties and families that have nothing in common combined (LF+Kataeb+Ketleh+Bon+boueiz+Khazen<FPM)

i leave it for you to imagine the ratio of FPM compared to LF or kataeb

13 october thugs try to forget christian voters in chouf, aley, jezzine, akkar, and other cazas where christians are a minority. As for baabda it is so obvious that chiite voters are less or equal to the sunni and druze combined voters. That leaves a bigger voting margin for the fpm list. In koura my estimation was that christians voted for opposition more than loyalists but not by a big margin. In batroun I think almost 52% for loyalists, 48% opposition. Jbeil and keserwen are a different story where fpm faced batrak, president sleimen and strong candidates with a huge petro dolar amount. maten is almost balanced but still in favor of fpm as per christian voters (armenians are not from tora bora i guess, they believe in christ). The big loss is in zahle, where I am estimating that the christians decided to give skeff and fpm a slap which I still have no idea why. Zahle gave ketle in 2005 75% of christian votes. I am assuming this time it gave ketle between 45% and 50%. If it gave 65-70% then skeff list would have made it. All this remains my own estimations, a week from now the detailed results will come out and we know the whole truth.
regards

Do you realize the Obama administration is moving towards satisfying Syria in order to isolate Iran even if that meant for Syria to control Lebanon all over again?
If you understand that, you should also understand that Jumblatt and most of the loyalist camp proved they can do the job of satisfying Syria NOT GMA who fought them tooth and nail when George Bush and the Batrak used to say Syria is an element of stability for Lebanon and the region.
If you can’t remember, ask you parents, they’ll also tell you Pierre Gemayel and Camille Chamoun were among the first ones to accept Syria when the US guaranteed Syria will be on their side. Obama is giving the same guarantees today to the Christian Loyalists.
And History is repeating itself.

this is from al akhbar newspaper, as you can see the sunni vote seems to have been split equally between both lists, on average march 14th lists got 6-7 thousands votes from druze more than the opposition list, but the opposition lists got approx 16 thousands votes from shiites than the opposition list, so the difference between druze and shiites votes is approx 10 thousand, and the opposition list won baabda by 7-8 thousands votes.

Anyone has any doubts that it was the shiite votes that made FPM win in Baabda?
