If you believe their lies, please don't ask us to. We've had enough of fake propaganda.

peace and partnership can be done with mutual trust and not suspicion of your allies. a little bit of trust takes u a long way. but if u want to be paranoid, fine, as u wish....

Of course there is something fishy... but I don't think HA is emitting the stinky smell... it's some others.

If you and others say that we FPMers think Aoun is God, it doesn't mean that we actually think he is God.

Now that you won the majority, you think you can rewrite history by saying that Aoun is the one who destroyed all bridges with everyone? Even though they say that the winner writes the history of the period, the truth remains that it was the others who destroyed all bridges with FPMers.

After the elections all the parties in the country released statement asking for cooperation. Except FPM and Michel Aoun who were still in the election fighting mode.
We don't stop fighting until we achieve our goal... we haven't yet. As I said in another thread, there are conditions, FPM conditions, to mend relations and none of these conditions has been met yet.

Don't expect FPM to surrender to realism after a loss... if you're used to Junblat, LF or Batrak, don't expect the same attitude from FPM.

Are you trying to rewrite history now that Feb 14 won? Were the Druze and Junblat clapping for him in Souk el-Gharb? Was Hariri Sr. and the Sunni street clapping for him when he was charged with treason in 2003 when he testified that Syria should withdraw? All I saw is a demonstration of sawateer and knives against him.

They already allied with the Devil several times to see him destroyed. What's new? You just proved to yourself that they're the ones who keep burning all bridges with FPMers, not Aoun.

Again, trying to rewrite history. The temporary win must be getting to your head.

Name me one FPM attack against anyone, be it Sunni, Druze, Shiite or Christian, and I will easily remind you of the action that triggered the reaction... mish 7ayalla ne7keh!

Were we the ones in power and persecuting them to give them options? 7abibi, it has been the other way around for 20 years... you should be reversing your question and ask what options did they give FPMers, other than accepting servitude? None.

FPM is not attacking HA. They will attack FM and all Feb 14 though.

It all started after July 2006 war.. HA power was getting out of control. ( maybe propaganda but who cares, it worked).

The picture was like : HA vs Government / Government Vs Government.

The fact that people believed in it does not mean they are stupid, it means they have no trust in HA..

if this is true, then it meas u are going against the wishes of the people you now claim to represent (Christians). so since u are talking about the wish to win in next elections & since change & reform cannot be without a majority in parliament, i would expect that it would have to be u to break away from us, not the other way around. what are u waiting for? it seems you just admitted that it was FPM's supporters that were not ready for partnership with a huge portion of the Lebanese population that has been marginalized since the Lebanese independence.

I can’t blame HA for dumping the Christian camp that has been indecisive and continuously divided. Let’s face it; the M14 Christians are the most unpatriotic and the weakest link that continuously spoils the Lebanese equation. Not even Jumblatt has been that successful doing so. When Israel attacks the South, they cheer up. When they are confronted with the destructive Palestinians naturalization plan, they are the first ones to sell off. They thing they are smart businessmen. They think the south is not part of the country. Even those who realize how dangerous the naturalization is for their existence as a free Christian society, they are fast to declare HA will not allow it to happen but keep on attacking HA arms. In other words, they are freeloaders and I can’t blame HA for getting tiered of them and unloading them. That’s what most of us Christians deserve. Sorry GMA, you are 100 years ahead of your time. I wish you live that long….

I think you didn't get my message.

My message was: had we cared about our popularity vs doing what is right, the support for FPM would have been much different

Cheers

come on...don't be so harsh!!! FPM lost part of the christian street because of this alliance with HA, but we need to see also the benefits of that...i assure you if FPM choses to respect HA's weapons but it in the next elections FPM runs against HA in some districts we will see an interesting shift of shiite votes to FPM..contrary to what is widely thought, a very big part of shiites are quite open minded and liberal and the effect of GMA in the shiite street has been huge...isn't that a huge step in the abolition of sectarian elections??????

also, for the benefit of Lebanon, HA and FM understanding is basic...unless they both calm down and go back to mutual respect we will witness another 4 years of continuous blood spilling or even civil war...now, about corruption, opposition forces have already asked for veto power, otherwise they won't join the government...this is a very smart move and i hope they respect it...who on earth believes that hariri wil jins 3atel are going to deliver to the lebanese and respect their promises...it's a golden chance for FPM...wait and see
