I totally agree there's something fishy going on.`The story on NTV wouldn't pass if it's not approved by HA.
But it's time for FPMers to realize that they do mistakes and that Michel Aoun is not God's perfect creation. Aoun destroyed all the bridges with everybody. And treated HA as the savior of this country and took it for granted that this is going to be the eternal alliance.

FPMers defend blindly every move for Aoun even if they are not 1% convinced.
After the elections all the parties in the country released statement asking for cooperation. Except FPM and Michel Aoun who were still in the election fighting mode. The sunni street was very supportive for Michel Aoun during the 89-90 period. The druze were clapping for him. Look at what's going on now. The M14 supporters, from all sects, can't stand seeing this man. The gap between you and them is so huge, they will be ready to accept alliance with the devil to see you destroyed. Because of all the attacks and hatred you have against everyone who doesn't agree with you. He and some in FPM doesn't attack only the leaders in M14, they even attack the voters and call the geshem, fesdine,...
What option did you gave to the Sunnites? The Druze? Your Chrstian brothers and sisters?
Shouldn't FPMers take part of the responsibilities of what's going on instead of automatically switch to attack FM & HA now?
Aren't you fed up of the "We are always right" thing?

The whole truth is that Hezbollah, Hariri, PSP and Amal will be on a honeymoon while Christians all together will day after day realize that they lost. The thing is that they did not lose because they were/are divided but they lost because the FPM itself lost or at least didn't win over 35 MPs.

In other words, FPM was not fighting to keep Hezbollah's weapons because the weapons will stay no matter what until a global understanding takes place. We were/are fighting to reach an understanding between 2 Lebanese communities in order to avoid any internal problems and succeeded big time. Second, we were/are fighting corrupt figures to try and turn Lebanon into a 1st class country.

On the other hand, these corrupt figures knew very well that their main elections' argument, Hezbollah's weapons, were in no way going to be confiscated in case they won. On the contrary, they knew that this argument would weaken their opponent, FPM, to a big extent after having brainwashed the independent Christian voters.

From there on, the main goal of the Patriarch, 14 February, the President of the Republic, the Independents and 90% of the countries world wide was to K.O FPM and General Michel Aoun.

Why? Because FPM and General Aoun are together an independent force which no one could/can/or will ever control except FPM's partisans themselves and most importantly because Corruption is in the Valentinos' blood.

I dont care, let the honeymoon go on, even if GMA is left alone, we did it in the past, we'll do it again, us against the world, i don't give a flyin f*** about anyone anymore but FPM.

Let Hariri deal with HA weapons, let LF and Nayla Tueini disarm HA, i will be sitting and laughing and enjoying the show, and incase they ask for FPM's help, we WILL show them the middle finger.

IMHO, I do not think that HA/Berri and FM had an under the table deal.

The opposition tried to win the elections, and it failed.

Now, I do not see HA opposing the idea of going back to the equation that governed Lebanon in the pre Syrian withdrawal (pre-2005), where Hariri is left to govern, as long as HA keep its weapons.

I do not think HA/Berri are as much interested in reform as they are interested in keeping their weapons.

Had the opposition won, we might have seen some reforms and HA keeping their weapons, now we will see corruption with HA keeping their weapons.

At the end of the day, it is a win-win situation for HA.

The only program that lost in this election, was the program of change and reform.

Everything else will remain the same.

Welcome back to the pre-2005 era...

those kinds of threads are ridiculous and baseless and should not even appear , out of decency and respct for your allies. but what can u do, some ppl have no respect and don't care about the good of the opposition and its unity, if they don't actually want it to collapse. u have no idea about the public mood among supporters of HA. u have no idea & yet u assume things and make a story out of it & present it as a fact waiting to happen or as an under-the-table deal waiting to be exposed/revealed. fact is, this thread i consider it an insult , not only because it shows a lack of trust in us , when in fact we trust u 10000%, but also because it portrays us , the support base of HA as sheep that can be made to follow whichever way we are led, rather than disagree with the direction of the party. and it also assumes that the party itself does not look at the public mood among its support base and does not respect the will of its supporters. truly, these kinds of threads must not be allowed, or the owners of this forum must come out and distance the party and its membership base from it. we all know the power of the internet, and it is sometimes not constructive but destructive power.

FPM lost only because they made a bad electoral campaign. you should have made sure that the voters caught all the impact of their vote. Arman and Tashnag voted FPM at more than 80%. in some northern shi3i village, they voted 100% FPM. in the same time, most of maronites voted against FPM.

Beside that FPM had too many enemies. it was a war. although you only lost a battle.

re-read my post, you might get a better idea.

Plus, this is the opinion of the member that opened the thread, and we are debating it, nothing wrong with that.

fine. as u wish. just as there is nothing wrong with having such a thread, there is nothing wrong with being insulted by it and by those who support it and express their distrust in us, we who trusted FPM as much as we trust HA . if u keep up with this attitude u will keep on losing. FPM has already lost a lot bcz it started talking as a Christian party , but despite that, we did not lose our trust in it even when many Christians chose to move away from it. and still u alienate your allies.. oh well. your choice.
