To Hassan Haidar,

Thieves are not murderers // Murderers are not thieves.

The only exception to this dogma above is your new found ally: Samir Geagea: Thief and Murderer at the same time.

Saniora may value human life, but he sure doesn't value other people's money.

Regards,

Johnny.

I still remember an exciting story my uncle once told us kids during a candlelight session in a shelter during the war. Here's his story.

" In the mid sexties I worked as a security guard at the harbor. This was few years before the war broke out. On a summer night shift with full moon, I was patrolling the harbor area together with one of my colleagues when we heard unexpected sounds coming from behind one of the parked trucks at the yard ahead. Like two well trained cobras, my colleague and I were swiftly there ready to strike at whatever was there.

Probably alerted by the sound of our loading pistols, three bleak shadows suddenly emerged from inside the truck, with arms full with unidentified items. In the shimmering moonlight, I could see all three were thinly built and had a horrified expression on their faces. "Do not move or I shoot!" shouted my colleague. A minute later we had the shadows lie flat on the ground with hands tightly joined over their necks. We asked them to remain motionless, called Makhfar al Darak, lit each own cigarette and stood there surveying the crime scene. And there before our eyes we saw now what those people were after: The truck was fully loaded with first class cigars from Kuba, Scottish Malt whiskey and Italian pornographic videos and magazines!

Upon hearing the sirens of the approaching darak cars, one of our thieves started to shake violently. I clearly recall his heart breaking voice, it was swaying like a falsely tuned violin between agony and despair. Tears were gushing down his cheeks when he looked at us and swore by Allah that he will never do it again. He explained that, at the bottom of his nature and by default, he was not a thief, because he came from a good and god fearing family.. But times are sometimes hard, especially for an ambitious young man who needed some extra money to pursue his higher education in economy.. And like all young men at his age, he also had a dream, to one day become a banker..

Hearing this I was tempted for a second to set this young man free, but an invisible hand shook me quickly back to the reality of my mission. Before i handed over the poor guy to the darak i asked him: What is your name dude?

RIP you uncle.

Al Capone was very kind and loving to his staff and drivers, also very generous, does that make him a noble, honest, pure, clean dude?
