Hezbollah before 1990 had a plan of an Islamic nation in Lebanon, now they are pro federalist, ya3ne they don’t want to turn the 10452 to an Islamic nation, just the areas where “Shiite” live in.

About sending his son, well he didn’t send him, he wanted to send him to Beirut to continue his education but his son refused and said “even if you force me to go to university in Beirut my heart and mind will be with the men on the fronts” as a result he was forced to let him go to the fronts and fight.

it seems you missed the point a bi ya byblos, we were talking about their intentions during the war and their idea of an Islamic Lebanese Republic and not about their intentions now, as for what X wrote:

this clarifies that we were talking of the past and as for the federal idea, do you know that there are meetings every now and then between them and the LF and these meetings consentrate on the federalism system?

I've actually heard Nasrallah say it in an interview. Hizballah will not pursue an Islamic Lebanon because it's not realistic. He said they would pursue an Islamic Lebanon only if the vast majority of the population agreed to it, and considering the Sunnis and Maronites each way between 35 - 40% of the population, it's highly likely that a Shiite-Islamic Lebanon won't come to pass in the near future.

Benghazi, i concur with your information. And to be more precise, there is a clause in the hezbollah constitution that states that they will not start working on their project (making lebanon a shiite country like iran) as long as any party in lebanon is against it.
Plus i would like to point out that Hezbollah used to attack syrian forces in what is called "3amaliyyat" until 1994, and this is a fact. the only reason they stopped is because they have a greater cause, which is freeing lebanon from the grip of the israelis, and they needed syria's support so that they won't be disarmed.
Note that Hezbollah has refused all the way until now to take part in the government (they never had a minister). and no one can deny the great job they did in the south and bekaa, 1st by getting the israelis out, 2cd by the work they did and still doing to improve the quality of life in that region.
Finally, one cannot but admire the sort of organisation they have, not to forget that after all, those are very religious people, and in the event that one of them does smtn immoral, the consequences would be extremely grave for him.
