Yesterday, in front of the USJ students, GMA precisely mentioned the doyenne of the dentist med school at USJ, and today he talked again about "tajawouzet" of the heads at USJ.
I will make it my business to denounce this doyenne, this rotten thing, everytime I shall have the occasion. This woman who looks like a man actually, uses her position and her power to threaten students and teachers, GMA mentioned it last night and I confirm it. She threatens people in their livelihood, she threatens them in their doctorate, she forbids people from running in elections, whether university or syndicate. If I was the FPM head, I would have sent her a couple of big guys to ya3emloula kaffein, because people like her do not understand neither by messages sent through the media like GMA did, nor by sending polite messages through some people. She is actually from Tannourine, she is a Boutros Harb supporter, she hates anything barely related to FPM, and made it the objective of her life to make FPMers' life a living hell. Again, this kind of aborigene doesn't understand bel tehzib, and I hope that someone will have the guts to teach her a good lesson once and for all. I am fed up with preaching peace and ethical manners with non humans who do not know what is the meaning of human being. | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Youchka For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

General Aoun: Why is Sfeir protecting the corruptors?
Free Patriotic Movement leader speaks after the Change and Reform bloc meeting:
- What happens during the day is different from what happens at night because the talks are ongoing. The cabinet formation is ongoing… we are concerned with two issues: the naturalisation of the Palestinians and corruption.
- We made enough concessions, the last one being MP Franjiyeh's move
- The obstruction is from their (loyalists) side
- It is Lebanon's right to get weapons; does Israel occupy Arab lands without arms?
- Weakness and insecurity on the borders with Israel is something we don't accept
- We have the numbers of the student elections in the Universite Saint Joseph student council election. Still they said we were defeated. We won more faculties and votes.
- Something suspicious is happening at the level of students, and the Ministry of Education should shoulder its responsibilities.
- We are ready to open a front with everybody… the people want to live and they have their rights.
- Geagea's stances are not worth us commenting on it and I feel sorry for those who believe him.
- All news about disputes with MP Sleiman Franjieh are unfounded.
- Gebran Bassil will be a minister in the upcoming cabinet, but we haven't decided which portfolio will be appointed to him
- Let patriarch Sfeir tell us where the weapons harmed him so that we offer him our support.
- Why doesn't he talk about corruption? Why is he protecting the corruptors? | | | | | Registered Member

Politics - Deputy General Michel Aoun chairs the "Reform and Change" weekly meeting
NNA - "Reform and Change" bloc leader, Deputy General Michel Aoun, chaired at Rabyeh today the "Reform and Change" bloc's weekly meeting.
Following the meeting and in a word to the press, Aoun said "negotiations are non-stop, hence what you listen to during the day time, sounds totally different at night."
He pointed to those who lie with good intentions "whilst stating expired probabilities," and went on to indicate that "in case the Prime Minister-designate wishes to reach a state of consensus, then the cabinet shall not be formed."
Aoun said that their bloc has already been "granted the Tele-communications and Water and Energy Ministries," adding that other portfolios remain undecided. He explained that March 14th coalition "preconditioned us with a number of taboos before intending to deal with us. He said "in return for ministering Jobran Bassil, they requested the ministering of MP Botros Harb, a thing which brought us joy for the mere fact that it's the first time Batroun witnesses the ministering of two if its members."
Aoun pointed to a number of issues that ought to be dealt with other than the cabinet formation matter, such as the Palestinian's right of return and corruption.
"The nation shall never witness stability in light of corruption," Aoun siad.
He refused to respond to Lebanese Forces Executive Body Head, Samir Geagea's words before a crowd of USJ students claiming that "Hizbullah is in control of the university," considering said position as "not even worth a response."
He held University students responsible before "such negative advertisements" which contradict with all civilized norms.
MP Aoun called on Maronite Patriarch Mar Nasrallah Botrous Sfeir, to make a "safe living" choice, assuring him that Hizbullah's arms shall never harm him, but shall rather more fortify our boarders, since "a weak security status on the borderline with Israel, is not ground for a practical living."

Aoun slams Sfeir for protecting corruptors; says cabinet will not be formed if Hariri awaits consensus
November 4, 2009
In a press conference following his bloc’s weekly meeting, Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun slammed Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir for not raising the issue of corruption and accused him of protecting the corruptors. He asked the Patriarch, “When were you harmed by weapons, so that I can support you,” in reference to Sfeir’s statement that weapons and democracy cannot coexist.
He added that Sfeir needs to choose if he wants to live in a secure Lebanon or as a refugee outside of the country.
Aoun spoke about the government formation, saying that Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri “will never form the cabinet” if he continues to wait for consensus.
He said the deliberations are ongoing, thus “what happens during the day is changing at night.”
According to Aoun, the reports of a dispute between him and Marada Movement leader MP Sleiman Franjieh over the cabinet lineup are “unfounded,” but added that they do have different opinions.
He said that he never stated he wanted to reappoint Telecommunications Minister Gebran Bassil to his current post. “Who said that I will nominate him? He will be appointed as minister, but I will determine which ministry he heads,” he said.
Aoun reiterated that he will nominate his party’s ministries, adding that the March 14 alliance has set restrictions in the cabinet formation process. “Nothing is forbidden for me… We have a positive approach and we applaud anything that achieves rapprochement,” he said.
Aoun also spoke about the ship intercepted on Wednesday by the Israeli navy – which reportedly carried "hundreds of tons" of arms from Iran to Hezbollah – saying the ship might only have been carrying pottery.
He said he does not want any further discussion on weapons and said that he would arm himself, if he had the money, to liberate Palestine. “Before they recognize the Palestinian Right of Return, we can get as many weapons as we want and from wherever we want, starting with Iran to China, or from the US.”
Aoun also touched on the issue of the student body elections at the Université Saint Joseph (USJ) – which resulted in a March 14 alliance win — claiming that the opposition won. He also said he will not respond to Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea’s statement that the elections are “a victory over the opposition’s attempt to lead the country to darkness.”
Aoun said “something suspicious” is happening at universities and called for the Education Ministry and university administrations to shoulder their responsibilities in this regard. “We are ready to open a front with everybody… the people want to live and they have their rights,” he said.

“The FPM decides on the prospective ministerial candidates once its share of portfolios is determined, since candidates are appointed in ministries in accordance with their qualifications,” Aoun said, adding that his party alone was entitled to decide upon the names of its ministers.
“March 14 and the Future Movement have set down restrictions on the FPM in a precedent, in which ne group imposes conditions on another group it’s prepared to cooperate with,” Aoun said.

Best response to those putting pre-conditions/veto on who we can nominate for any portfolio in our share. It is our right and freedom to choose our own ministers in any ministry in our share. We are not LF or Kataeb. | | | | | Registered Member

Back when i was at university, the same happened to us at FLSH, most of our demands were refused by the administration becoz they knew we were "orange", whereas others partis got what they wanted most of the time... This is simply not acceptable!! how can we expect students to have a decent political life at university when there's oppression and nobody cares or understands even when GMA speaks???
