If it makes you feel better to repeat that then good for you... Given your long stated positions you hardly qualify for independent... You hate GMA's guts, and are happy to ruin Lebanon if it means making GMA lose...
To go back to Roch10452's comment, it is a very tricky balance. Either extreme can be damageable (think of G Bush, think of Chirac, think of any "dictator"). Ultimately, it is a question of horizon and accountability. I would argue a leader should not necessarily do the population's short term "wishes"... As long as she / he can demonstrate "success" in achieving their "long term" wishes before the next round of elections...
However, I would like to thank you to try to frame your post in a "debatable" way to engage dialogue
