The FPM brought it on itself through the many many blunders in has done in the past 5 years.

The huge mistakes the FPM has done and the lack of real accountability has brought us here.

This point should've never been reached, unless the FPM hits such a level....and it did

Did you ever send a letter expressing your resentment to any of FPM's bodies and receive a positive response ?? Or a simple response at least ?

Well, I sent a similar letter to a regional committee once, I was removed from the member's mailing list and never heard about the committee ever again....

OK, can we now address the issues instead of taking sides with one person or the other?

Here is where I see the problem:

1) Maroun Nassif has no right to "use" the FPM media as his own bashing tool, especially against another FPMer (or ex-FPMer, I don't care which). And if someone else put him up to it, that someone should have had the courage to sign the article himself... instead of pushing Maroun to do it.

2) Ghassan Saoud cannot "use" his membership in FPM and his privilege to attend meetings and have access to FPM leadership to serve his professional career by disseminating privileged information about FPM (even if it's true). This was the main reason behind his separation from FPM. He has to make a choice: either he writes as an FPMer or as a professional independent journalist. He can't expect to be treated as an FPMer when he wants to fish for information and later suddenly remember that he has to serve his profession.

3) All those bashing Ghassan, I can only accept your criticism if based on the reason in no. 2 above. As for bashing him for his articles or comparing him to Khashan, Pierre Atallah, Elie Mahfoud, etc., I can tell you to drop it... because he isn't like any of them and, yes, he was harsh toward FPM in his writings but anyone could see that it was out of genuine concern. Regardless if these concerns were correct or not, they were genuine nevertheless.

4) A fight between Maroun (or whoever is behind him) and Ghassan isn't going to make or break FPM. It will provide us with some excitement for a few days or hours... and FPM will continue its course (good or bad) w byotla3 el-darb fiyon tneynon el-m3attareen...
