So please please, do not insult us when saying that this guy is professional, ghassan ben jeddo does not suck up to any of his interviewers, he asks the smart questions that allow them to actually talk, this is professionalism, not this guy who probably comes from wara el bakar and got his journalism degree if any, men chi khayme bi chi wede.

I apologize if I came too harsh, you are right, I guess the guy made me so upset that I couldn't accept anyone actually saying any good word about the guy. I respect your opinion and still think that he is the worst (ye3ne as low as May Chidiac) when it comes to professionalism.

I was really impressed with what GMA had to say tonight....he truly showed how with logic and reason you can take over any interviewer regardless of the caliber...

Give the journalist a break. He tried to do his job in his own style. And his style is well known, the hardball style. General Aoun knows his style very well. This is not the first time this guy interviews General Aoun and in the previous time, General Aoun himself was impressed with his style. He told me so himself. And last time, he played hardball as well.

As for those who said that he doesn't understand Lebanese politics, it's not necessarily true. You have to take into consideration that this guy and this station cater to a wider audience than just the Lebanese. He wasn't interested in getting into the little details and names of the elections because it would bore his wider audience to death since they won't understand them... he stuck to wider and bigger issues his wider audience would understand and appreciate. He's not going to do his job in a way that serves our interests but rather his interests and those of his station.

If General Aoun got upset or we got upset, it does not mean that the interviewer is bad.

The only weakness this time is that he used the majority of the interview time repeating media rumors (mostly lies) and framing them into questions as if they were legitimate or facts. He overdid it on that end.

I thought GMA did great tonight... much much better than how I would have expected him to do, in comaprison to how he used to do when an interviewer got him upset. If it were a debate between him and the interviewer, as a viewer I would say that GMA destroyed his opponent tonight. He was as sharp as can be... and, better yet, left the viewer with a sense of certainty that he was right too.

But the interviewer here is not the actual opposing debater... he was standing in for Aoun's actual political foes. He repeated every accusation Aoun's opponents could have thrown at Aoun had they been present. In a sense, you could say Aoun's clear victory was over his political foes.

In a way, the interviewer ended up serving Aoun's and FPM's interests... just by doing his job.

Thank you for implying, in a diplomatic manner, that "the other side" lacks so much substance!

I really liked this interview, i don't think we can call it interview because the guy was asking a question and while GMA was answering he was reading the next question, he was not listening to GMA at all,
the reason that i liked it is because it shows how much GMA can take the pressure before flipping and he lasted till the end without flipping, he scored points against the interviewer he put him in the spot and showed him why he is not doing a good job.
bottom line i think this interview was positive to GMA.

It gave me a headache just trying to follow, mafhemt shi as they were talking both at the same time and that reporter is so stupid he even asked questions that were completly wrong. Plus Aoun looked very uneasy and overwhelmed, which made him look weak at certain moments. Tole3 min tyebo lol.
Why did He accept that interview in the first place???

he asked GMA: "you were accused you were with Sa3ika, and you negociated with the americans to attack the Baada palace"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if i was at GMA place i would completely loooooooool live... how the hell this guy knows lebanese politics? i believe he made a little search on google before the interview and gathered some articles from al mustaqbal and annahar newspapers... on which he based all the questions.
He may be a great interviewer, but this particualr question showed how unprofessional he was.

Or maybe he called Ammar Houri to take "precious information" before interviewing GMA.
You know, I used to respect Ahmad Mansour before this interview but yestersday Wouti min 3ayni.
