We're beyond sectarianism at this point. It's more like a society with a completely broken system of values. | They say the judicial is independent of politics, but for those judges to make a move on anyone they gotta have political backup, what do you expect them to do.. something a la Falcone in Sicily? | | | | | Registered Member

Lebanon has exactly 0 chances of improving someday,if we do not start by tough judicial reforms and actions.
0 chances. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Abou Sandal For This Useful Post: | SISCO (23rd January 2009) | | Registered Member

Now let's get one thing straight because i can see some people gone wrong places in this thread.
The idea is not about what this kid did, or to score a goal on the LF.
The issue is much bigger and if you want, you can debate with me about the following:
First of all, LF have no problem with Hezbollah, they never had and they happily voted for them in 2005, LF's problem is with FPM and whoever FPM allies with, take Michel el Murr for example, they kept calling him a Syrian dog till few months ago, now he is one if their icons simply because he turned against GMA.
They have tried many things in the past 3-4 years, not just them, but the whole coalition they are part of, and they achieved little when it comes to FPM's popularity and trust of the people in FPM.
Lately, they switched targets, instead of targeting FPM as they used to do, they are now concentrating on Hezbollah, when they picture Hezbollah negatively, that will automatically effect FPM since FPM is Hezbollah's ally.
They tried the Ain el Remmene V/S Shyah front, but they failed, so they switched target to Jbeil since the Shiaa are minority there and FPM is very popular in the region and what happens in Jbeil effects on Keserwen too, so it's 2 birds with one stone.
Suddenly they talk about how Hezbollah are disrespecting Christianity by showing a maseb7a with SHN's picture on it, they succeeded in making a story out of it, of course with the help of Bkerke who managed to make a big story out of it, and yesterday morning this incident took place, a mixed school in Jbeil where Christians and Shiite attend, Christian icons were broken in the school and pro-Hezbollah and anti-Christian slogans were written on the walls, this was followed with a huge propaganda and preparations were taking place to organize events such as demonstrations and gathering against what happens, Students in universities were told to be on the stand-by to go to Jbeil and participate in anti-Hezbollah gatherings, their website was already spreading the venom and most of the wazwez in Nabaa and Sed el Bauchriye were getting ready to take their landy and go liberate the Christians of Jbeil from the Shiaa who are smashing Christian icons and writing anti-Christian slogans.
The army interfered and in few hours the kid was arrested and they were warned that any move on the ground will be faced by the army itself.
Thee whole thing was not a joke or a kid playing, it was a well organized plan and the day before the incident the LF launched a poster on their website with Michel Sleimen in it, all those things are related with each others, they think that once they have Michel Sleimen on their side, the army will be on their side too and they can do whatever they want, the picture of Sleimen on their poster was just one of the messages they are sending to him, they are begging him to stand against GMA and the opposition in general.
So those who think that his was an independent stupid personal incident, think again, demonstrations were planned to take place yesterday night in Ain el Remmene, Batroun, Jbeil and they were hopping to gain momentum and organize a big demonstration in Bkerke.
I know this kid was just a tool, they fooled him and he is now paying the price.
But what i am saying is, there is a well organized plan to make a Christian V/S Shiite conflict, such conflict will crush FPM's popularity and those Christians who are going to clash with Hezbollah will gain the popularity.
The plan failed yesterday, but it won't stop here, they will keep on pushing for a conflict, and unfortunately Hezbollah are falling for it, Manar is giving them too much attention and adding fuel on the fire.
Manar and Hezbollah should ignore everything related to the LF, and they should not fail no matter how much the bitters provoke them.
As for those who are giving us lessons, maybe we should let the LF do whatever they are doing and have a new civil war, so you guys can be happy? | | | | | The Following 12 Users Say Thank You to X For This Useful Post: | Anny (23rd January 2009), Armendo007 (23rd January 2009), Bala Habal (23rd January 2009), CedarLb (23rd January 2009), FPM4EVER (26th January 2009), hoda25 (25th January 2009), J_Raad1450 (23rd January 2009), LebanonUSA (23rd January 2009), lucy78 (24th January 2009), Makiabel (23rd January 2009), vegojimbo (23rd January 2009), Venom (23rd January 2009) | | Administrator

Oh and by the way, Yesterday night after the kid was arrested, Samir Geagea went to Qoraytem and met Saad el Hariri, he warned Hariri that if the army doesn't release the kid and close the case, he will withdraw from the government and will turn against the loyalists. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to X For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member
