In geagea's eyes, Lebanese missing in Syria are more valuable or more important then Lebanese missing in Lebanon. Is this a sick person or what? Missing person is a missing person regardless of location!

Are these a conflicting goals? I don’t see why geagea is against identifying whomever can be identify on Lebanese soil while pursuing the Syrian track...geagea is a sicko
What would the wise guy tell the Mother of a Lebanese soldier who was thought to be a Syrian prisoner, yet his body was found buried in Yarze mass graves?

These two issues are closely related.

Where does it say that the Lebanese missing in Syria are more valuable or more important then Lebanese missing in Lebanon??
All he's saying is to decouple the 2 cases so that they may proceed! It's easier to try to resolve the issue of live prisoners whose parents visit them than to dig graves looking for bodies which may take years.
But of course, you echo your friend Walid M3allim's comments. Do you also want to look for the Syrians in Lebanon??
Big surprise!

well i believe digging graves will only takes few hours or maybe days in maximum, just if geagea and his alike told us about the location of those graves.

Of course, we can give him a map and a red marker. All he would do is to draw red circles, maybe then his stupid logo and ad campaign would make some sense afterall.

for each time they "remind" us about the old organized arms of Hizbullah we should remind them about the recent disorganized arms of their northern allies.

til ad infinitum if they want to be stone-headed about playing this game.

What about those men who were drowned in the sea with concrete blocks up to their knees. I wonder if Geagea kept a list of their names

Geagea: Hezbollah’s weapons will have a strong influence on the 2009 elections

September 8, 2008

The leader of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, said that the coming parliamentary elections would determine Lebanon’s identity and destiny. He said two opposite projects would compete, and that voters would have the choice of either free and democratic rule or religious extremism. “Losing this battle will allow Lebanon’s enemies to enter the parliament, control the legislative power and change the system,” he said.

Geagea addressed Lebanese Forces Youth in Australia on Monday, and told them that the issue of Hezbollah’s weapons was complicated, and would have a strong influence on the coming parliamentary elections. He said the weapons could be used to oppress Shia voters who disagreed with Hezbollah or to reject the results of the elections.

Geagea said it was a must that the political disputes be resolved peacefully rather than militarily. “We rely on the international Lebanese lobby to pressure the Syrian-Iranian alliance, and to put our demands before the entire world, which must understand that resolving the conflict in the Middle East without finding an adequate solution for the conflict in Lebanon is impossible,” he said.

Geagea said that Lebanese living abroad must be convinced of the need to strengthen ties with their homeland. He said the role of these emigrant Lebanese in the coming parliamentary elections would be crucial once the new electoral law is adopted.
