Default FPMERS...What do u think about the Scene Najjad, Assad, Nasrallah? - 27th February 2010

1) Assad and Najad are both presidents...Whatever are the decisions they take, they engage their countries!!!an honest question:
Since Nasrallah took part in the meeting, whom do the decisions engage?

2) As a Lebanese, i consider this meeting as a disrespect for my country:

I dont give a **** about Hariri or Michel Sleiman, but as we Fpmers used to say during Lahoud Era, we re defending the position not the person!!
two presidents met and took decisions concerning their countries, why was only a lebanese part leader only involved in their meeting? Lebanon has a president, a PM, a parlement, and Hassan Nasrallah cannot take decisions along with Najad and Assad!

3) dont u think Hezbollah broke with the MOU with FPM? why taking part in these meetings? this shows they are part of a regional conflict and their interests exceed Lebanon!! And as a lebanese i wont accept that

4) If Israel attacks Lebanon, Hezbollah can defend us according to bayan wizari..no doubt about that, and we will all defend our country!!
but so that Nasrallah make deals with Syria and Iran, and maybe lunch a war to support them in a probable future regional war, thats a crime toward Lebanon

5)We had enough paying the price for all the others..We are a free country and we want to live:::

personally i do not see any wrong in it...

malyoun NAJAD wala one bandar.

this is the way things are
this is the way the middle east is
this is our destiny in that part of the world

SINCE ONE MUST PICK A SIDE why not pick the RIGHTEOUS and PEOPLE'S aspirations SIDE.

PS: please no one should BS about democracy and dawlet al 2announ and supremacy of govt decision ( who conveniently resides with the PM who happens to be the rep of bin laden god fathers).please spare us the drama of sg and his seyadet ( shefna covering habshe for years).....

GMA met each of those presidents in separate occasions, what would have changed if he met them in the same time?

In normal conditions this meeting is weird to say the least.
But in the middle east forest that we are living in, one has to do anything to survive including tolerate such unconventional and non-protocol meetings.

(im not an FPMer but i like to give my opinion)

I totally agree with what you said! but Lebanon is not a country,
why? because leaders such as Nasrallah and Hariri etc.. are way more powerful than the government!

Nasrallah and Hariri can take huge decisions with or without the Lebanese government.
If we want to be real and say things as they are we have to admit that Lebanon is a dead nation and always was...

Lebanon is a place where tribes are related to other regional powers!

the Lebanese president or any other Lebanese official position are pointless regardless who it is in that position!

the Lebanese government is just an fake IMAGE we want to believe in!
we want to believe it is real!

They are discussing how to bring wilayet el faqih to Syria and Lebanon.

For me i dont see anything wrong in this meeting knowing that they are not taking decisions to start a war, but how to react/defend themselves in case Israel starts a war.

Many Lebanese politicians SG,SF,AG,SH,GMA....etc met presidents all over the world as individuals, should they take the president of the country with them whenever they want to do a visit?
The batrak went to USA and met with BUSH
Why should this meeting be abnormal for FPM, and other meeting should be normal to everyone??

My concern is that Nasrallah met Najad in Damascus. I would have had no problem if he met him in Lebanon (Nasrallah's country) or in Iran (Najad's country), but why specifically fly all the way to Syria for such a tripartite meeting?
I don't know if this is really that bad, but I personally didn't like it, and don't know how to elaborate extensively on the reason. What is certain though is that Lebanon's interest wasn't the main course (not that the content was surely harmful to Lebanon either).

Hezbollah chief Nasrallah meets Ahmadinejad in Syria

The head of the Lebanese Shia Islamist movement Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has made a rare public appearance in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Sheikh Nasrallah attended a dinner with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

He is under an Israeli death threat and makes very few appearances in public. When he addresses Hezbollah, he does so by video from a secret location.

Both Syria and Iran provide the group with financial and military support.

Hezbollah fought a 33-day war with Israel in 2006 during which more than 1,200 Lebanese people, mostly civilians, were killed. Some 160 Israeli people, most of whom were soldiers, also died.

In November, Sheikh Nasrallah vowed to boost the capacity of its military wing and threatened to retaliate if Israel attacked Lebanon.

'Deep' ties

Since 2006, the Hezbollah leader has made few public appearances in Lebanon, even avoiding key religious and political occasions.

His fear of an assassination attempt has been particularly heightened since February 2008, when the commander of his group's military wing, Imad Mughniyeh, was killed in a car bombing in Damascus.

Hezbollah blamed Israel for the attack, but it denied any involvement.

Before Thursday's dinner, Sheikh Nasrallah and President Ahmadinejad discussed "the latest developments in the region, and Zionist threats against Lebanon and Syria", Hezbollah's al-Manar television reported.

"If the Zionist regime decides to repeat its past mistakes, the region will finish it off," al-Manar quoted the Iranian leader as saying.

After bilateral talks on Thursday, President Assad said Syria and Iran were working together to confront "Israeli terrorism".

Both leaders dismissed US calls for Syria to distance itself from Iran, emphasising their "deep and brotherly" ties.

The meeting came a week after the US signalled an attempt to improve ties with Syria, sending a senior official to Damascus for talks and nominating a new ambassador after the withdrawal of his predecessor five years ago.

Hassan Nasrallah represented HA as an entity on its own, he didn't represent lebanon or the lebanese government. They were simply discussing their overall strategies in the region in the light of the recent israele threats and maneuvers.

For all of you delusional who think that HA is just another lebanese party that could be bound by the MoU, HA does have its own foreign strategy that's different than the Lebanons' one. And this strategy is forged in coordination with HAs' regional allies and suppliers.
