FPM, Signs of Significant Failures!?

I comment your efforts on wanting to try and find a solution for FPM's problems.

Not long ago I vigorously participated in a thread defending your point of view and will still do it, but not in this forum.

There are people who are gonna look at you and tell you that the 2009 elections were wonderful.
Others will tell you that Michel Aoun as head of the party is the best thing we ever had and there's no need for elections or even a second in command

Some will tell you that Michel Aoun defending Gebran is something natural since he did a great job (and a great job he did), but they fail to see that at the end of the day he's playing the majority's game.

Others will also defend Aoun's super aggressive and sometimes insolent style because they'll tell you that these people deserve to be spoken that way.


Unfortunately all of these people don't see further than the tip of their noses and don't realize that these things are what's sinking FPM (That is if they acknowledge that FPM is indeed sinking).
They tend to forget that the FPM passed from 70% to 50% of support in the christian street.
They also tend to forget that the FPM lost most of its support in the muslim street; especially the sunni street.
They'll blame it on the US, the money and the saudis, but NEVER on themselves.

Ya de3anik ya FPM if these are the people ruling you, why waste anytime on a party that doesn't want to take an internal look at itself and fix whatever's wrong with it ??

Whoever sees in GMA's latest speeches a sign of FPM failure is someone i consider brainwashed by the loyalists media.
GMA got no choice but to negotiate the way he is right now, trust me this is the only language the loyalists will understand. I see failure in GMA not doing what he's trying to do right now, failure is letting other political parties overpower you and force you to become a follower of their desires, failure is not realizing and acknowledging that you do have a say in the government formation, just like everyone else we are disappointed not to have a government yet but wouldn't you be much much much more disappointed if FPM's ministers were only picked after the approval of FM, LF, psp and the rest of the gang ?

أثبت مهندسو السياسة والإعلام لدى فريق قوى 14 آذار قدرتهم على التوجيه المركز لسلوك جمهورهم وخصومهم في آن. وتبدو قضية إعادة توزير وزير الاتصالات المهندس جبران باسيل أحد النماذج المعبّرة في هذا الخصوص، فقد نجح مهندسو سياسات 14 آذار في استدراج رئيس تكتل التغيير والإصلاح الى الدفاع عن قرار سياسي بتوزير باسيل، وتصويره وكأنه يدافع عن قرار عائلي بتوزير صهره.
قد يكون جزء من هذا السيناريو صحيحا الى حدّ ما، فمعروف بأن عون يكنّ محبة استثنائية لباسيل ويعتبره وكأنه ابن له، لكن باسيل في المقابل أثبت نجاحه بمعزل عن المحسوبية العائلية وإن أفاد منها في بداية صعوده السياسي، فكان الساعد الأيمن لعون في ملفات عدّة.
بدوره يدرك عون بأن الشعور الأبوي الذي يكنّه لباسيل ليس كافيا لتسليمه ملفات سياسية حساسة لمتابعتها، ولتعيينه مفاوضا باسمه في محطات هامة ومنها مع «حزب الله» وفي اجتماعات الدوحة، ولجعله مرافقا له في أسفار مهمة الى الولايات المتحدة الأميركية وفرنسا والفاتيكان وسواها من الدول وجعله شريكا في الحوار مع شخصيات دولية وديبلوماسية هامة تزوره دوريا.
عارفو جبران باسيل عن كثب حتى وإن كانوا لا يستسيغون سلوكه «المتعالي قليلا» ولا سيما مع المناصرين والمؤيدين، فإنهم يعترفون بأنه مفاوض صلب وحريص على سياسة «التيار الوطني الحرّ» وهو نجح طيلة أعوام في بناء ثقة العماد عون به، إذ يسلّمه الأخير ملفا للتفاوض مع «تيار المستقبل» أو مع «حزب الله» فيفاوض ويعود أدراجه «عونيا» لا حريريا أو حاملا الراية الصفراء.
يضيف هؤلاء بأن باسيل يعرف أين وكيف يوقف التفاوض ولا يقفز فوق الخطوط الحمر التي يرسمها له عون، كما أنه بحسب أكثر من عارف به ليس من الشخصيات المؤذية أو التي تفبرك ملفات لخصومها السياسيين، حتى أن بعض المقربين منه في ماكينته الانتخابية عمدوا أخيرا الى تعليق عملهم معه لأسباب عدّة منها ما يتعلق بشخصيته المهيمنة والتي تناقش الأمور بديموقراطية واضحة لكن في الوقت عينه لا تعمد الى تغيير الأمور بسرعة، لكنّ هؤلاء المتململين أنفسهم يعترفون بأن من «مساوئ» باسيل أنه لا يعتمد الكيدية في التعامل مع خصومه، وقد برز هذا الأمر في أدائه في وزارة الاتصالات بحيث عمد مثلا الى ترقية أحد الموظفين التابعين لحزب سياسي مناوئ للتيار في البترون، وإذا بالأخير لا يكتفي بانتخاب اللائحة المنافسة للتيار بل قام بدهن خروف باللون البرتقالي وذبحه علانية أمام جمهور عريض في المدينة، ولما أخبر باسيل بالأمر رفض حتى تأنيبه مما أثار الاستياء لدى كثير من مجموعة عمله.
ومن المآخذ على وزير الاتصالات كثرة الملفات السياسية والمشاغل التي يتابعها شخصيا مما يؤثر أحيانا على قدرته في متابعة التفاصيل كلها وهذا ما يزعج كثرا، كذلك فإن إدارته للتيار الوطني الحر في منطقة البترون مثلا لا تعتمد على الانتخاب بل على التعيين، علما بأنّ فكرة تعيين الكوادر والمنسقين هي المفضلة ليس عند باسيل فحسب بل لدى الدائرة الضيقة المحيطة بعون ومنها ابنته كلودين التي أناط بها أخيرا مهمة دراسة الهيكلية التنظيمية الملائمة للتيار، بالإضافة الى شخصيات مقربة منه تصوّر لعون بأن الانتخابات هي وبال وقد تأتي بكوادر لها حسها النقدي والصعبة اللجم، مما يؤخر عملية مأسسة التيار يوما بعد يوم.
بالعودة الى باسيل، الذي يعاني من حسد الخصوم الداخليين من جهة ومن سلوكه المتعالي أحيانا من جهة أخرى، فإن العماد عون يعاني اليوم وعلى أبواب تشكيل الحكومة من القدرة على إقناع الآخرين بأن باسيل هو الوحيد في التيار القادر على إدارة الملفات الصعبة. وبالتالي فإن كوادر التيار وإن كانت تدعم عون كليا في الفكرة القائلة بأن ليس الحريري هو من يختار وزراء التيار، فإنهم في المقابل يعجزون عن إيجاد حجة مقنعة تبرّر تبديل عون رأيه بعدم توزير الخاسرين.
في هذا الوقت يلحظ أن مجموعة الكوادر التي قادت منذ أكثر من عام حملة داخلية مناوئة لباسيل، هي اليوم هامدة إذ تمكّن العماد عون من استيعابها عبر إدخال معظم أعضائها الى البرلمان، وإذا بالنواب الجدد الذين يعلمون بأنهم لم يكونوا ليحلموا بالنيابة لولا العماد عون والتيار يسكتون «وقتيا» عن توزير باسيل الى أجل غير مسمى.
يبقى بأن خصوم العماد عون السياسيين دخلوا بذكاء على هذه التمايزات العونية الطبيعية والموجودة في الأحزاب اللبنانية كلّها، وهم يستثمرون هذا التمايز حتى النهاية في لعبة سياسية وإعلامية متقنة. يعمد هؤلاء الى حرق ورقة باسيل إعلاميا وسياسيا «نكاية» بعون أولا لأنه يحب باسيل من جهة ويحترم قدراته السياسية من جهة أخرى، لذا فإن هؤلاء يعمدون الى «تدفيع» عون سلفا ثمنا إعلاميا باهظا لقاء توزير صهره، ولكن الأخطر أنهم قد ينجحون في تدفيع عون ثمنا سياسيا باهظا داخل تياره. فالذين يسعون الى تأجيج شعور الكره فيه ضدّ باسيل بتصويره محتكرا للملفات والمواقع كلها على حساب مناصرين آخرين، قد يحملون بذور احتجاجات في داخل التيار. واللافت في هذا المجال بأن العماد عون قد استدرج الى الدفاع عن توزير باسيل مخصصا وقتا طويلا لذلك في مؤتمره الصحافي الأسبوع الفائت وكأن توزير باسيل هو العقدة الوحيدة أمام تشكيل الحكومة علما بأن العارفين يدركون بأن هذا الأمر غير صحيح.
يبقى سؤال حول موقف رئيس الجمهورية من قضية توزير باسيل وخصوصا بعد تصريحه بأنه ضد توزير الخاسرين. العارفون بالعلاقة بين الرجلين يؤكدون بأن الرئيس ميشال سليمان يكنّ ودّا شخصيا لباسيل، لكنّ موقفه انطلق من واقع محلي جبيلي كي لا يفتح عليه أبواب «جهنم» فيطالب من أكثر من مقرّب وصديق ومناصر بالتوزير مما قد يسبب له إحراجا كبيرا.

GMA's survival during the elections was a miracle itself. Im not really disappointed anymore
with the elections outcome, look at them, they have the majority and they cant form a

Reading the comments above is the proof in my mind that there is a failure. Aoun having to defend his own son-in-law is putting him and FPM in a weak position. FPMers have to come out with a vengeance defending Bassil and supporting him regardless of their own feelings. When the dust settles, they can perform self evaluation behind closed doors.

The article above, without reading it, and by simply reading the title gives me the sense that FPM is being stupid by exposing a weakness and invite other to exploit it. Again someone for the love of God, read Art of War. If we are to trust FPM in securing our future, we need to feel that it is capable of doing so. It has done well so far, but if they fail now, nothing they have done would matter.

So don't take this as criticism, but as a suggestion from an observer on the outside giving you a different perspective.

with HA the christians wouldnt have been represented in the government,
knowing that the jins el 3atil in FEB 14 or what is left of it will
take max 4 ministries from their masters.

Why didnt Geagea and Gemayel reply to Jumblat yet? they have to shut up
