Last time we proposed that we were welcomed by the fiercest attacks.

People might start getting excited about internal elections in the FPM, but if Michel Aoun says no, most of them will follow him.

Last year, elections were supposed to take place, everyone was excited, then they were cancelled for no reason (or without giving any explanation) and people started defending this decision........

go figure..

I believe elections will only be necessary and important once Aoun decides to pass on the torch...

Before that, you only have two possible outcomes:
- Aoun wins, and hence nothing positive would have come out of the elections
- Aoun loses, and this would create a dilemma since a party could not survive without having its founding father (if it only has "one") as the supreme leader!

Aoun should be a spiritual leader for the FPM and step down in favor of some new blood. as easy as that

few years ago when FPM became a party, an election was being organized and GMA announced that he won't run in the party election. then the elections were canceled.

It's normal that in the 2 or 4 stat-up years of the party you don't hold elections, but after that period it becomes a most, otherwise FPM will be another hypocrite party preaching democracy while not practicing it within its ranks.

GMA never said that he won't run in the election.

Elections were held last year on the local committees level.

elections are needed not only to decide who the president of the party is. it is for all other leadership posts as well as. I know some are filling these positions now but they were appointed. its time for FPMers to elect and choose who they want in leadership roles.
