By the way, many times did my family receive aid in the form of a food crate from a Hariri organization, but truce be told nothing was expected in return. Well, the family knows an important figure in FM Achrafieh, so that might have helped. Yet, I have one remark: All the aid from 2006 till now is actually aid destined to the victims of July War (bc the products have labels on them from fellow arab countries saying these items are not for sale).

true, u don't get to sign a contract paper to receive the aid. but it always come through heavily politically affiliated FM ppl and distributed in places to show the FM party as benevolent.

i have no problem with FM giving the aids first to a certain local church for instance, i do have a problem though that it's the same FM party that is backing in other places extremist fanatics and supplying them with food and arms that would burn that same church if their hands could get to it..

that's not "Helping the Ppl", that's hypocritical politics to whitewash the imagine of a dirty blue party. nothing more and nothing less.

they may not ask you to vote for them but they are trying to play on the emotions of the people, some simple minded people may think that 7aram hariri he's helping us so we vote for him. they are in need of every single vote!!

the beauty of democracy in uneducated backwater countries is that u get to buy the ppl to vote for u instead of only using violence in order to intimidate them into passing the "Golden Ruling Stick" to u through their very own "consensus" hehe

ppl are still hapless peasants under these conditions and the ruling elites are still ruling and i can’t help but wonder where is the “democracy” in all of it hehe
