سئل: ما هو موقفكم من كلام الرئيس سليمان لصحيفة "الحياة" الذي قال فيه أنه لا يوجد نص في الدستور يمنع توزير الراسبين في الانتخابات وانه عرف وقد خرق لعدة مرات؟

قال:"نحن نوافق على ما يقوله فخامة الرئيس

قيل له: إذن أنت مع توزير الراسبين في الانتخابات النيابية؟

أجاب: "ما دام فخامة الرئيس قال هذا القول فلا مانع منه

سئل: هل ما زلتم عند موقفكم الذي أدليتم به في المطار قبل مغادرة بيروت والذي لم تعترضون فيه على تشكيل حكومة بتركيبة 15-10-5؟

أجاب: "يبدو أن هذا العدد هو اليوم الذي يؤيده كل الناس"

سئل: كنتم تقولون ان هناك أكثرية وأقلية واليوم يبدو أن هناك توافقا في البلد على حكومة وحدة وطنية ما تعليقكم على ذلك؟

أجاب: "ليس عندي تعليق. نحن يهمنا أن ينطلق البلد على أسس واضحة وصريحة. نحن قلنا أنه قبلا كان هناك أقلية وأكثرية، الأكثرية تحكم والأقلية تعارض ولكن اليوم تم الاتفاق بين الناس على ما يظهر أن الأكثرية والأقلية يجتمعون في حكومة واحدة، فإذا كان هذا يسير الأمور فلا بأس، ولكن ننتظر لنرى كيف ستسير الأمور

if these statements reflect something about the orignator they surely show the short sidedness of his vision. I am expecting a person of his position to weigh his opinions and not be swayed by others opinions to retract his statements to change them. There is no pragmatism in such behavior but rather shortsightedness and immaturity in understanding political scheme in Lebanon. My questions are simple; Should such change in POV on same topic indicate lack of conviction or chronic insecurity? For how long can the Maronite afford having such decision makers in authoritative positions?
