No, i doubt that, Israel is happy with the situation in Lebanon, HA is more trouble for the Lebanese people than for Israel. A deal with Syria will isolate HA even more, so it will minimize the threat on Israel, and just increase the internal conflict between the Lebanese themselves.

my friend I think you are wrong this time,they wont get hurt if they dont send foot troops in,dont forget that they control Lebanese air ,no matter how many weapons HA has they cannot do anything against their Superiore air power plus long range ground to air missiles,and navy gun boats

I agree, in wars there is always casualties. this is inevitable and unfortunately devastating to any party. and everybody pays a price. that's why everyone hates wars.

However even with superior air control HA did not use all their weapons. remember when "ma ba3da ba3da 7aifa" slogan was release by SHN if they bombed DT and he threatened to hit their core cities, they did not shoot a single shot afterwards on Beirut downtown. this should tell you a lot!

space control is in space... it's not on the ground where infantry is inevitable to occupy a territory. and this is where HA comes to action.
